Something I have learned from similar experience was to accept the truth. Some people are never gonna change, they don't know how toxic they are. I stopped pleasing them and found comfort in like minded people and continue to enjoy what I do.

when those "concerned people" manipulated her by asking her to stop doing all that "nonsense" if she loves her family, I thought of myself in that situation, and I think if they truly loved her then they wouldn't have asked her to prove that she loves them by making her quit social media which is something that makes her feel happy.

The Hijab scenario is very real especially in more religious parts of kerala. I’m not a girl myself but I’ve seen cousins and friends who constantly get policed for how to wear the hijab. All of them will be wearing it a different way to each other yet all of them are apparently wrong. If they tie it the way someone tells them to, then some other relative will be like no it’s actually this way and it creates this situation where they don’t even know how it’s “supposed” to be done. Are you supposed to cover the face, it is supposed to be tied to the back, etc. I think this just creates a lot of insecurity of girls who are young and impressionable. And I think a lot of girls are faced this by people who have very different views on The Hijab that tie into their needs and ideologies rather than what’s actually said in the Quran
