I have a few suggestions if you're able; 1. Test these against other budget NVGs like Nightfox and the NVG-30. 2. Test these in an open field and wooded area with no light pollution. 3. Get a second person to record what the NVGs look like under their own NVGs. Bonus points if you find someone willing to let you borrow their anolog NVGs.

Looks good, sound OK, I think you may need to check with someone else’s NVGs though that the IR illuminator on these isn’t basically a WHOPPING TORCH to everyone else using night vision, at that point you’re giving yourself away way more than getting an advantage, at least to others with nods
@AshShootsAirsoft Жыл бұрын
The Iliminator is 100% a torch under NV. These can run without the Iliminator on though which helps!
@engineeredlifeform10 ай бұрын
I bought a cheap NV set for bat spotting, and they were quite good. With the addition of an inexpensive 3W IR torch they became quite awesome. Their limit was the built in illuminator, and I guess 3 watts of IR at one wavelength puts out a lot of usable photons. As others have said though, the illuminator gives up your 20, but you can position an IR torch to bathe a vista, and look at it from elsewhere : -)

Well Im an 'Aspy' shooter so I greatly respect your opinion my friend! It sounds like I'll be getting some of these to try out for a night fight! We used to use the full 'binocluar' type in the military that covers both eyes and you will learn to 'trust' the NVG. Someone below mentioned the Falklands and down there it was SERIOUS darkness but just star or moonlight gave enough ambient light for them! Our brains are not used to seeing a green or red image so training with them so our brains 'learn' what the eyes send it is a big help. IF anyone in a skirmish is using IR reflective paint on a helmet or weapon you WILL see it easily . These are very good quality for that price looking at your images - Great review Thanks.

I bought my Nvg10 from Amazon, I still have night sights from the eighties from moonlight, which at the time we’re over 200 pounds and these nvg10 are awesome in comparison, the moon light sights were used in the Falklands conflict. Over 300 metres distance comparison, the NVG is clear as heck whether in black and white mode or green mode. I go out across farmland and woodland and in both environments the clear vision is 20/20, if you know how to set them, the compass can be somewhat slow to configure on the move. 2nd negative view is that the three control buttons are somewhat difficult to find when you can’t physically see them as they are small, very close together and shallow, and braille is easier than these buttons, my only other qualm is that in winter frosty temperatures, when you are exhaling, the cloudiness of your breath can be picked up by the sights and if your not expecting it, you could be mistaken for thinking your seeing ghosts out in the fields, which might be feasible in my case, as the fields were a RAF base during the war. So other than those few points mentioned, I am extremely happy with the NVG10, and the mount might look weird and breathable,but it is metal and quite substantial unless you are ham fist and clumsy. 👍

These are not worth getting. I bought them and without IR illumination they are worse the the MK1 eyeball. Using them in a suburban setting is misleading as security systems use IR floodlighting which has a massive effect on the usability. Unfortunately Gen2+ is about the minimum worth spending money on. Using IR in Airsoft against people who has NVGs turns you into a BB magnet. This is from personal direct experience of using NVGs in Airsoft.
