I brought WEST ROME back from the brink of DEATH in EU4!

The sack and fall of Rome in 476 marks the end of many things but today, in EU4, it marks the beginning of West Rome! That's right, we're restoring the Roman Empire from it's smallest and weakest point! This EU4 mod is the extended timeline mod and is one of the best eu4 mods out there! This EU4 challenge though... it awful. It's just the worst.

It's also got a massive custom mission tree that includes going past the historical imperial borders (i.e. Scotland/Ireland), and once you get things established as a regional power, you get the scripted events for the rise of the Rashidun caliphate which is a hell of a challenge.

In the ET mod during Migration Age, barbarians can use a decision to declare war against Rome, West Rome, Byzantium and/or Gallia to migrate into their territory. That's why you kept getting declared on.

Here's an idea for a future playthrough with this mod: Samo's Empire. Basically, irl Samo's Empire was, well, an Empire ruled by a guy named Samo obviously, but also the first proper slavic realm and union of slavic peoples, with the first year his Empire appears in in the mod being in 623. Your challenge would be, really, to try to survive and take over as many slavic lands as possible in order to turn the "first union of slavs" into a *complete* union of *all* slavs.

I've always been fascinated by this period at the very end of antiquity and the beginning of the "dark ages" and early Medieval period it's a time of chaos and great change in Europe , the Middle East, and North Africa and the first time in a long time Rome did not dominate the Mediterranean basin its a smaller much more local world now its an incredibly fascinating period
