I use some big rubber blocks from amazon to clean the sandpaper drum. Helps a lot.

i have elephant ivory i was thinking of using some as inlay or banded glacial slate or as truss rod cover and string nut , rosewood is legal, fuck c.i.t.e.s.

Just some friendly advise: If you take the time to be sure the top of the neck is perfectly straight and true, and the fingerboard is also perfectly straight and true, you won't have to file the frets so flat to get them straight and true. This method saves me up to 3 hours, and guarantees my frets won't be uneven in height when I am finished.

TIP : invert the spindle tube to get more life out of the sandpaper, you're only using the bottom portion

Brazilian rosewood should only be used on acoustics imo but this is a cool build
