There are ways to do skylights with flat roofs. You can combine platforms and normal roofing with lower them down as far as possible. Love your builds! ❤

I don't know about other countries, but bathtubs aren't common here in Brazil (only really rich people have those), so parents have to buy little plastic bathtubs in order to bathe the babies. Once the kids learn how to stand on their feet or walk, then it's shower forever. I wish we had those bathtubs for infants in TS4, just like we have pots for kids. P.S.: the bathtub is usually passed on, sold or they keep it in case the kid would use it to play with their dolls. No waste ☺️

I’m in US in greater Los Angeles area. The apartment building I grew up in from toddler to mid 30’s had bathtub/shower combos, so it was what I was used to. But, we moved into my Suegra’s (mom in law) old house they had gotten back when my esposo (husband) was a teenager. It had only a tiny bathroom with shower and no tub. So we bathed our 2 children in a tin tub that fit in the shower until they were too big too fit and could take a regular shower with help at first, then on their own. I still miss having a bathtub 🛀.

Fascinating! Australia has been cutting costs a lot in newer apartments by not including bath tubs much anymore. It seems to be a more luxury feature for more expensive apartments maybe. I feel like they used to be more expected and now not so much?

I would make a castle. But like an old one where the town was inside it. So I would have the landlord live in the actual real castle (so he/she would be a king or a queen) and the rest (the peasants) would be in small homes inside the castles with their little bussineses (book shop, food market and stuff).

i worked for a show home cleaning company in the uk for a short time and sooo many show homes were so different!! idk about ALL show homes in the uk but the ones i worked on were VERY decorated and some looked lived in, photos laptops etc :)

I live in Montana and I don't like carpet either. Same reason, cleaning it is a beast! I have kids and dogs. they track in soooo much dirt everyday, and with hard floors I can just sweep. And spills just wipe off easily. I grew up in houses with carpet everywhere and it was always stained and looked terrible.

I remember making "apartments" when i first got the sims and making one floor for a couple, one floor for a small family and one for the owner of the building, back when something like that would not have been actually functional, so i am definitely excited for this pack

I love watching you and James build. I credit you both with me getting into building these apartments for the new pack. I've done 2.5 buildings now and none of them are finished but I'm working on it! Landscaping and roofing are so frustrating for me. That and finding doors and windows that match as well.

In Germany it is also really common to have two houses behind each other on one lot. The houses can be wider and not so narrow :)

Hi 👋🏻 Deli ! Firstly, love the Grinch mug with all the lil Whoville peepos on the inner rim & the Loki hoodie! The build has a wonderful style & I love that the townhouse exteriors alternate & the interiors are similar style but different coloration. I can’t wait to see you & James creating some different living situations. Knowing that you can not only have separate buildings on one lot but literally rent out like just bedrooms with shared common spaces invites some teatime ☕️ 🫖. The Bowser snore is always excellent. There’s something so calming to me about a relaxed pupper snoozing or a cat purring away. Hope you all are having a lovely weekend.

Deli! There's a way to get rid of unwanted fence posts! so say this is your fence -> HHHHH You're gone wanna get ride of every other fence like this -> H_H _H Then redraw the fence in the blank spots but only one at a time!! If you try to redraw the whole line at once the posts will come back! I didn't discover this myself though, I found out from a short by a youtuber called DizzyMissLizzy

townhouses like this in the uk are more L shaped. i live in one in the middle of the terrace and room is ground floor in the middle so you wouldn’t expect a window except the window is parallel to the front door and looks down the external wall of the kitchen
