I have the exact same Motherboard, 8 gb DDR3 1333 mhz, but with a modified Bios, to accept a modded LGA 771 Xeon Processor, is a Quadcore, the E5450 3.0 Ghz, 6 MB lvl 2 cache, 80 watt TDP with a Thermaltake 4 pipes Tower, in runs Retro Games smoothly.

I realy like Quad Core CPU. I have a system like this. I use it some times for playing retro games.

There is a 40 GB hard disk on it. Maybe the problem with Windows is related to the hard disk.

I like these older systems. I have 3. all are prebuilts but whatever. They are around this era, I'd say they're about 10-15 years old.

This board i really love.. i modded the bios to work with the xeon e5450 4 core 4 thread cpu. im rocking 2x4GB DDR2 800Mhz Ram and so far its still running great alongside the GTX 1050 TI.. i was hoping to upgrade to an AMD Card too!

I have a motherboard similar to yours. Can I build a PC with it? The power suplay cables are broken, I can't connect them properly. It has 512 MB of RAM. It even has a case on it. The system is ready, but it is faulty and problematic. I tried it while it was running, but I got an error. It says Windows was not installed correctly. It comes up to the Windows XP screen. and then either the pc restarts or windows was not installed correctly or I'm getting an error like "not found" but the power supply cables are disconnected right now. It would be nice if I can do that. I'll look on the internet and tell you the model if I find it.

What about thermals?? You used too little on that CPU lid. or spread it above the CPU for heat gains

@CPUGarage not that much sufficient. Use spreader to spread the metal surface of CPU to absort more and cool as much the Cooler can.
