The only aim in Rust is to grief. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as mic spam, cheaters and being called various r*cial sl*rs. Build a wall around supermarket. Build a Trap Base. Kill new players for fun. Protect yourself from hackers, and don't play on official servers. Create alliances with other players and form a town, and then immediately get raided by 20 people. Do whatever it takes to survive.

Sometimes an empty base, with empty crates is so much more satisfying than a juiced base. Empty crates mean they were so scared and absolutely no other options other than to give up and know they were bested. That shows a true sign of not only beating someone in the game, but you beat them in real life in their head!!!

I'll never understand why people hate trap-bases so much and try to raid them. They're completely passive, just don't go inside and the resident will probably never bother you. It's not like a roofcamping base, or a 4-deep team of chads that will actually try to ruin you and raid your base. Instead, leave the trap base to be a problem for other players, don't do them a favor and protect them from loosing their loot.

They had a decently sized group, and they recovered the victims items. I dont really get how or why they got so mad at a goofy looking trap base, an already niche base you can easily avoid but laugh at. They already flexed their 'superiority' on him on the first base too. They got salty after drying a few times and despawned all their hard earned items instead of fighting a potentially fun online raid. They could completely outgun him whenever they see him too. I just really dont see the point in getting angry as miniscule as one solo with a cheeseburger base.
