Just a little comment out of respect and partially to save my own backside… the community police were mostly worried about littering. The Netherlands is probably the cleanest country I’ve visited. Their pothole maintenance is second to none. The amount of bird life is immense, it’s just a shame they poop on everything. I’ve so many good things to say about this amazing country

The roads are a dream compared to the UK, drove back in December and January, and couldn't believe how bad the UK roads are. After living in the Netherlands for 19 years, I took the roads for granted , not anymore. Good luck with your outboard engines.

I love the effort you are making in filming and building. What a changed boat compared to last week 😊 It must be the UK plates on the car that got there attention, the same happened twice to me in Switzerland. The Swiss are so clean, at home and in nature. (In the Netherlands we have a problem with littering, people throw their trash around at popular spots)

I hated it when you were in the med and you bought that hideously expensive brand new tender for Minke. It represented everything naff about most KZbin Sailing Channels. But your exuberance and delight as you knock old wine bottle corks into the bottom of your new donated fibreglass tender and paddle away using an old shovel as a paddle fill my heart with warmth. No matter how successful your channel gets Mark, please don't ever stop being you. 😊

Well done Mark and big up for Thomas the likeminded gent that he is. The Netherlands is a lovely clean country and everyone I’ve met each time I’ve visited on my motorbike since the 90’s have been very polite and welcoming. Sadly it shows how much the UK has degenerated over the last few decades and our councils would rather use asphalt to build speed bumps than fill in potholes.

@wb_photography
@wb_photography Жыл бұрын
@camillexx rossi I initially had the same thoughts , however after doing some research , most wharram catmarans are hand built by their owners.This I find inspiring as it is more about the journey and the new experiences and not just the luxuries that these owners consider.It could be financial constraints that make you choose a boat of this design or maybe some purely like the design.But each to their own.
@david45ross
@david45ross Жыл бұрын
Definitely each to their own. Maybe back in the distant past when I remember seeing a huge yacht being built in someone’s back garden when glass Fiber was in its infancy, I was on my paper round then!! This reminds me of that era. Will be very interesting to see how the actual boat building works out rather than just cleaning. And also the costs of the finished product. I must say I do like Tomas’s cat. Of course one of those does have considerable outlay.

Hi Couple of things of Note !!! Firstly the Paraffin Lamps in the boat make sure there is plenty of ventilation as the Carbon Monoxide will fall to the lower levels and if you are sleeping with your head lower this could be a problem or even fatal. Also do not put your Dinghy bungs on the outside if the boat bottoms out it will remove them and you will have a lovely water feature Spring up from the floor of your Dinghy.
