I built a dream house in The Sims 4

Just a little mistake at the start of the video! Mid Century architecture is widely known to have begun in roughly 1945 (end of WWII) however, some sources say it began in the 1930s. I think “roughly 1945” is more widely known, so me stating the 1930s is misleading. Sorry for the confusion!

The first time I heard him snoring, I thought something was wrong with me, quickly realized it wasn't my breathing, but then thought something was wrong with my pc, and then (and only then!) did I remember she mentioned Bowser's snoring would probably pick up on the mic, and I was so relieved 😅 So while apologies are not strictly necessary, I definitely appreciate that she mentions it whenever he joins her! Once I knew their source, his snoring definitely grew on me, hahaha, Bowser is such a good boy!

Deli you've been looking look so sunny and vibrant recently! Also love how your tee matches your bedcover, looks so satisfying lol. House is amazinggg! I can say I'ts my personal favorite of yours. I did a similar one for my dream home project, mine came out more toned down but still colorful, kinda more sims 3 looking, but this one gives me the same vibes. I did the same kind of decking upstairs surrounding the second floor, with similar panels that you can open and close freely for privacy. The courtyard omgg mine was more plain cuz the lot is I think 40x30 so more elongated

My grandpa was an architect & a mechanical engineer back in the 50s-80s & the house he built was a nice, 2-story mcm house that was a mix of rustic (their farming background as kids) & modern with a lot of warm brown & beige - that never felt overpowering. The landscaping was a mix of conifer shrubs that blended the house into the landscape. The house had a dark brown, steel-blue & grey color scheme & was built into a slop that led to a ravine. They had a neat multi-color terrazzo floor on the first/basement floor that we kids loved to play "the floor is lava" on & lots of custom built-ins. ^^ So many good memories there.

I absolutely love this house! In real life it would make sense to have all these bedrooms in a mansion but for the sims I would've put more gameplay items in, skill building room, office, laundry, etc. :)

World War II was between 1939-1945 so mid century design became popular in the late 1940’s. Sorry for being annoying (love your videos) just felt like the historical context was needed since the 30’s were characterised by economic depression

A family relative of mine had a house with a conversation pit, looking up to a giant (albeit outdated) TV. And even as a child, not knowing that conversation pits were a mid century and 70s thing, I already thought that it was the coolest thing ever. It was etched in my mind that I had to have it when I grow up. It felt so convivial and personal, especially when having all other family relatives over.

This house is amazing!! I love the sunken living room/conversation pit, and the outside courtyard is actually one of my favourite places 🥰 I think I'm going to download this, but maybe change the outside gym area into a little gardening area with vertical planters and things, because I love gardening in the sims and in real life. Great build! I am a content creator and Interior designer who used to deal in Mid-Century furnishings. I like how you claimed that it is not meant to be a time capsule, but a mid-century inspired new build. This opens it up a little bit and you can add some modern things like the LED chandeliers in the living room. We do lack great chandeliers in the non CC. I would love just a lighting pack. You are also very engaging and knowledgeable. I enjoy your content a lot.
