Your idea in your other legacy to have your graves on your legacy homestead lot gave me one of my favorite gameplay elements. Yes they break stuff but I love having the ghosts of the previous generations coming around and in Gen 7 my writer took tons of advice (and story ideas) from talking to them about their lives. It was great.

Grave yards and cemeteries use to be places where people go to hang out like a park. Have picnics, have celebrations, and more. I think because people use to still want to have their love ones still in their lives in some way. Like the big victorian cemeteries that look like gardens.

2:29 Early last year I was across country visiting family, including the graves of family I hadn’t seen since years before they passed. When visiting the graves, my nonna was telling me how in the largely Mexican-American community where they lived, it was pretty normal to have what was basically a picnic in the cemetery, celebrating “with” your deceased loved ones, so to speak. Both times we went by to refresh the flowers, there were families there, having a cook out. It was nice, and I can imagine a grill being set-up there.

maybe this is gonna sound weird if you're not asian, but my dad and i are the people in my family who clean the gravestones on big holidays. i think there are two ways i would go about laying out a graveyard in the sims: turf based or letting nature reclaim it. turf based means i would also do dirt terrain paint on new graves, but it would eventually get replaced with turf texture and i would probably plant rosebushes or trees and add 'in memorium' benches as the generations pass. on the other hand, i think the 'no maintenance' vibes would fit the vampire world pretty well. dirt texture on the new graves but each time i add a new sim, i add more debug landscape growth to the older graves, maybe evidence of wildlife? 🙃i like environmental storytelling

These graveyards are located and are assigned to the following worlds: Copperdale (CD, WC, NC, MP, EH, GF), Oasis Springs (OS, SV, DSV), Forgotten Hollow (FH, GB, MM), Brindleton Bay (BB, BC, HOB), Windenberg (WB, T) and Mt.
