@@Purrsephone19 Another option I do is get a gigantic house, with enough bedrooms for me downstairs, and then I empty all the rooms upstairs so no one ever goes upstairs. The problem is big single story buildings tend to look ugly in the Sims, so I get a multistory instead so the outside looks cute, but just keep my Sims from ever using the second story.

I love the idea of you building a treehouse hangout/music space for Rye that connects with a bridge, but it would be fun to ALSO have the in-game treehouse in the yard as well for the kids, so you could do the new gameplay with the kids - also it would be kinda cute, like they wanted to be just like Uncle Rye and were always going into his treehouse and messing with his guitar so he built them their own kids treehouse. But they still use the upstairs window and his treehouse ladder to sneak out as teens.

single story homes are a lifesaver for family gameplay because especially toddlers go to the most random places and them walking up and down stairs just takes ages. had one of them taken away once because the game glitches and they wouldn't stop walking up and down stairs on a house with 3 stories and tall wall hight.

Great video and great house ! Concerning the nook behind the stairs, I have several ideas : - the simple one : put the decoration box from season here, to 'hide' it, and still have it for the holidays of your family ;) - put an activity table for kids, so they can create stuff there (that would include friendship bracelets so... fun and on brand with the pack and family gameplay) - put a one tile desk and a computer there, since I don't think i saw one yet. - make it a little nook with a bookcase and several books, and maybe a chair if it fits And i'm sure they are more possibilities ^^

Please use the sneak-out window when you build the bridge to the tree house! When the kids are teenagers they gotta be able to sneak out lol. If you want to make it more scandalous, put a juice keg or a bubble blower and perhaps a card table in the tree house. You could also create a group with the teens' friends and choose those activities specifically to ensure that they all go into the treehouse when gathering.

I dont think sims mainly having 20x30 lots was an oversight in this pack, it adds a little bit more realism to the game. A lot of craftman style homes are typically on smaller lots & being that it's about growing large families it encourages players to move house to larger lots that may be in different worlds and make use of the different gameplay options like having family reunions. Like what's the point of having a family reunion if the entire family lives in the same house/neighborhood 😂 & often when families grow they may move due to job changes to afford larger families or being convenient to being closer to other family members

Love the house!! You really did a good job on the roof, I am really impressed, and with all those small walls not painted, I would not even notice. I have a few suggestions, since you are going to have a large family, maybe get another clothesline, and if the dryers were working and wouldn't set the house on fire, a dryer, and extra washer as well. And since you got that backyard, why not put something out there for the kids to play in like a swingset, basketball hoop, or monkey bars. That way they can build up their fitness--as well as a swimming pool. Oh, how about using those pads in the water park??? You can make a play place for the kids so they can have a knock oust slumber party in the Summer--or Winter where you are from. And how about a small bbq place where they can cook outdoors,--but you can add this on later as your sims get more money. Once again you did a beautiful job on this build and I am getting inspired, but one thing is for sure, I won't be tackling a roof like that any time soon. I will leave that to you.

I usually use 1x3 rooms for a compact half bath (I have one in my IRL house, actually) but I like what you did with it! I think a circular table would fit better in the dining room. Incidentally, I grew up in a family of 8 and when we had guests we brought out a second dining table.

As an acess to the house from the future Treehouse I would recomend the window from Highschool years - to give Rye that sneeking in and out feeling :) Also that nook on a platform could become a place for a keepsake box once Hilary will pass it down - it's out of view yet saparate enough to not forget about it with future generaation. Especially if transform that space almost into a small "shine" for the keepsake box.

I was inspired by you a while back and so I tried to build a house from Full House because nowhere on the Sims gallery could I find a house like that. And during my time, trying to build this house, I know see why it is so hard to build and why I have seen nothing else on the gallery that resembles the actual house, but just the outer shell. For instance, the living room was mainly what I wanted for my growing together play through, but it is hard to create such a lay out where the second floor isn’t covered and is part of the first floor living room, but has other parts that are covered. It is also hard with the smaller lots to build a house of the size even though in the show itself the house it’s just a regular townhouse, and not too big in size. So far in my journey to try and re-create the interior of the full house house, I have not been as successful as I thought, and have ended up with a much larger different exterior. But I will say that the interior looks magnificent from the living room to the small book nook to the hallway, where the laundry room rests attached to the bathroom to finally the kitchen itself. I too started from the treehouse challenge and have worked my way up to building a beautiful house for a large family. Currently, I am sitting at four bedrooms and three bathrooms with a fully furnished basement that counts as one of the rooms and one of the bathrooms. What I think I’m getting out here as it is OK to stray from the layout you are going for as long as the end product makes you happy. I really like this house I felt I think by far it is much better than any grand mansion or tiny living house. I have built in the past I would also just like to say that I really enjoy your builds as a lot of them are contemporary and feel more realistic compared to a lot of other Sims players, who build unrealistically lavish homes. Your builds feel real, and as for the laundry room fantasy I to share the same view l. I’m only 21 going on 22 and for as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of having a nicely sized home with a laundry room to store my costumes and cosplay in(I wanted to be a cosplayer back in high school, until I realize just how expensive it would be.) I guess I’ve always been old at heart.

A suggestion for the platform behind the staircase: close off the little bedroom nook under the stairs and raise it to match the platform, reshuffle it a bit and you have a "out of sight out of mind" sleep nook!

Idea: What if the family kind of runs a bed and breakfast and the 2nd floor is where guests can stay. Then you can use the new stayover system to pretend there are guests renting the space upstairs for like a week at a time and give yourself an appropriate amount of simoleons. This way your adult sims can work from home and more easily take care of babies/infants/tods

This house fits perfectly the vibe of the big family and there's room for a big backyard too to have fun stuff for the kids, I'm looking forward watching how it changes when you move the household. Fyi, I don't mind that Deli and you end up uploading two builds with the same color scheme haha, but they are pretty different in style though.

I’ve been looking forward to the uncle Joey alcove since you first mentioned it! Please have Rye live there, at least for a while. Uncle Joey was a comedian too! “Cut it out!✂️”

I really like the house and especially the roofing. It looks like a Lego roof with all the small pieces of roof into one. Chef's 💋!

Playtest those stairs. I JUST made a house with stairs on a platform like that, and my Sims refused to go up them. I finally had to give up and rip them out and replace it with normal bent stairs. It sucked, because the platform stairs looked really nice.

Playing with so many infants and toddlers has made me wish that I had built them a single floor home. However, like you pointed out, the lots are so small in San Sequoia that a second story is almost necessary. But going up and down the stairs takes so long, especially the toddlers' pace. This build is gorgeous! Love the large living/kitchen room area! And the idea to turn the upstairs into a guest area is fantastic!

Our two story house also had the bathroom connected to the kitchen area. Right by the backdoor, and the laundry hookups, all in the kitchen space.

Oh my gosh! Thank you! Is this on gallery? If yes, I cannot wait to come home from work and try it! I love single story homes but yeah most are more than one story. Especially for 100 baby challenge!

my house is very similar! esp with the upstairs. it has a guest room/bath that's locked to the family. but the landing area is a playroom so I can put all the kids stuff up there like their activity tables etc. I even put a ladder in a first floor "closet" to make a cute way for the kids to go up there lol.
