Ex-skater, street racer, weed grower from the 80' and 90's before legalization, so I LOVE adrenaline. I thought slow steady long range flying was lame...UNTIL I did it. WHAT A RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!! The anticipation of losing signal and then the loss of signal then the wondering if your quad will be lost forever...and then the amazing relief when you see it again. Definitely no worse than the freestyle rush.

i have the same problem with a baby ape pro ..yaw twitches ..but if i fly and yaw a couple of rounds or give some throttle it seems to be stopping ??sensetive gyro ?

So we have some towers here in the UK and they are the number one video killer, like as soon as you go behind them full video gets lost. So wasn’t surprised when you turned left I was thinking “he’s gonna lose video when he goes behind that tower” and the entire time it was returning to home it was still behind the tower.

The twitch probably means vibrations are hitting the gyro. Maybe isolate the fc better or replace the bad motor. ;) Could also be something with yaw pids.

Great video! 420km/h max speed 😜 I love gorillalink!!! Love what they do! So glad someone is pushing ELRS 900! The state of Emu is kinda sad, I thought 1.0 would come out a year ago :( I still run it on my analog mpu6000 stuff, but that’s getting less and less with the state of everything. I don’t know why I have never had an experience like this on HDZero, and I really push it, never have I encountered a screen like that, I wonder what that was from??? @@BOTGRINDER you know, on a lot of the builds I don’t venture too far on, I just use the whoop lite VTX with a 13mm piece of wire soldered to the board as my antenna and honestly have had zero issues. I find that board cheap and very durable so use it on most builds. On the beyond earshot builds I do use TrueRC or Cherry IIs with the Freestyle VTX and have found the performance great. I think goggle antennas is the really important thing though, and head position. I prefer to use 4 directional antennas and my long range is great. 5-7k with some obstacles gives a good picture, anything more doesn’t work too well on HDZero. I personally fly the system for the flight feel… the rest of the digital systems feel super off for me. And I honestly can’t freestyle, at all, on the other systems, my brain just doesn’t work with them. But I do use the Avatar VRX with 4 directional antennas on a tripod connected to my goggles via HDMI for the true long range stuff. That system is actually great for that! I absolutely fell in love with the Runcam90 though, and 95% of all flight happens looking through it. The stock lens is garbage as it’s a cheap stand in, because they had to reach a price point. But change the lens and it is an absolutely amazing camera!!! Hope you flight goes well! Oh: I actually have a good tip for you, screw in only one antenna at a time to the goggle and go for a flight, really good way of testing each individual antenna, after you find 4 great ones, or tweak/tune the crappy one. Stick 4 good antennas and your performance will be amazing! Lots of love ❤️ Also: obviously testing on 25mW is better than max power, so you don’t have to fly super far, or behind too many obstacles.

Bot if you’re flying with a Tango 2 or Mambo the f’n gimbals randomly need recalibrating. I had the same happen to me yesterday. It makes the quad do exactly what yours was doing all twitchy. For some reason my ELRS radios never need gimbal calibration.

I know you like simple osd set ups but for long range you should really consider adding amp draw and amps drawn. Amps drawn is a better way of determining turn around IMHO. With Lion packs keeping an eye on amp draw you'll know if your pulling to hard on the cells, at least on new builds where you don't know how the motor/prop combo is pulling also sometimes gps return to home will throttle up on the accent and pull way to many amps for lion packs or lipos it can burn off excessive and sometimes crucial amps. Volts doesn't always tell the full story of how much gas you have in the tank so amps drawn can be helpful for instance you fly up a mountain and temp drops or its just winter and your volts are dropping but you got amps you'll know its likely pack temp causing a problem and to whatch out for sudden volt drops, or your on your way home from a mission and volts are low but you got amps to spare you'll know to back of the throttle to get the most out of the pack if its gonna be a close call getting all the way home. Nice bird cant wait to see where you take it bring it home safe.

I dont know man. I have the HDzero VRX and the 200mw vtx and I trust a 200mw analog vtx more. And for long range I just trust analog. DJI with the screen freezing and HDzero with the rainbow screen just scares me….😂
