Bringing home and setting up our new "to us" Bridgeport mill. We have been slowly setting up our small, in house machine shop, and this was one of the BIG items we needed.

As an engineer myself, the logic to build 10s of thousands of dollars worth of shop space to fix a few hundred dollar part checks out. 10/10 would recommend.

You could've tilted the head to install the drawbar, lol. Also, a power drawbar is what you'll really be needing. Since their pneumatically operated you'll need some compressed air over in that corner, for the power draw bar, blow gun, etc. I'd say this video is a long way from finished, lol. You're getting there.

Yes, you could definitely tilt the head to get the drawbar out, we just figured the hole was easy as well. One day ill get a power drawbar. We want to get out power feeds for the Y and Z axis as well as the DRO first. I do plan to run shop air lines over to that area as well.

@@NKLandscapingLLC I know you guys are busy and it takes time to build out a shop. It’s looking good so far. The three phase power, sub panel, and other electrical work looks top notch. You have exciting plans for your machine tools, it’ll be fun watching it all come to fruition.

@unclebuck5051 I’m glad you think the electrical looks good! The electrician did a good job on the new panels and 200A upgrade, but for some reason wanted an astronomical amount of money to add the plugs and wiring for the phase converter. I did my best to make my installation of those things look “pro grade” considering I an NOT an electrician by any means.

Way beyond my “pay grade “ but it appears all was done correctly & you get a safe upgrade to the house.

Aside from the new tools, I am very happy to have upgraded and SAFE new electrical! We also got a new roof and gutters at the same time, so I am a very happy camper!

Looking awesome. Are you going to get into CAD designing too? Or traditional pen & paper drafting?

Right now we are just doing some basic “napkin” sketch type designs. I do plan to get back into CAD design again. Just need to try and jog my memory from my college CAD classes.
