Maybe light up the forest below and put glass in that checkerboard pattern instead of filling it up with stone patterns. Continue to use carpet covered lights in the none glass parts (would look super cool). Edit: I didn't specify, so I mean put glass for the 3x3 areas, and frog lights for the 2x2 areas and keep them covered with carpet (maybe even make a variation of carpet colors for the 2x2 areas).

I haven't considered incorporating the terrain inside the mountain. I would like to light it up at least so it's not completely dark. I won't make the floor glass cause I plan to do some stuff beneath it

@@FoundInMN_ you could use top half slabs in the floor and put a light block underneath the top slab and it will light the floor up from underneath and it takes it no space at all

This is so sick. I love the snowy vibe, I don’t think I’ve ever seen another build that really embraces the snow as much as this one. It feels like Rivendell mixed with Skyrim and I love it, like some frozen waterfalls would fit right in. I also love how you’ve mixed the intricate details with the grand scale, you really balanced it perfectly with this.

hello there, avid colour theory enjoyer here! the reason why your face on the front of the building (and in my opinion, any use of the desaturated reddish colour) looks so off, is because you're trying to mix warm tones in with a cool environment. this would be okay if the building was universally warm tones, but since you're using a lot of greys and whites, the little pops of pink look off putting. this isn't due to the saturation, it's to due with the temperature of the colour you're using. this is why the deer statue looks really nice, even though it is incredibly saturated- it's a cool toned colour. alternatively, you could stick with warmer tones, but heighten the saturation to make it contrast in comparison to the surrounding terrain. in cases like these, you really want to either full commit to the contrast, or make it blend in, being hesitantly somewhere in the middle can make the colours feel like they're clashing. i'm also not an expert, i could be completely wrong so if i am and anyone knows please feel free to correct me. great build regardless, and awesome video!

For those that are wondering why the mob switch didn't turn off at first and had to be moved, basically, he built the mob switch in the spawn chunks which are always loaded. But the part that he missed is that for a 1 chunk ring outside the loaded chunks, entities are still loaded but are not processed. These chunks are called lazy chunks. Hence even though the mobs are technically not in loaded chunks, they still contribute to the mob cap. By pushing the mobs out of the lazy chunks, they are fully unloaded and they no longer count towards the mob cap(that's what he did to fix it btw).

At <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="2100">35:00</a> the reason the zombie pigman arent going for the egg is because there needs to be two blocks of air above it for them to see and pathfind to it. This is so they can "jump" on it and break it. If this condition is not met, they ignore it like they were for you

As someone who also hates the lighting in Minecraft, I have your solution! I don't remember if it works in Java too, but in bedrock light shines through stairs and slabs! Place your light blocks one block deeper and put a half slab at floor level. The light comes through but there's no carpets and you have WAY more options when it comes to blending it in!

What I do about the lights in the floor is making a carpet floor with different hights, so wool and lights under carpet. You can also make little workstations in the room, so you put lights on top of those. And it makes it more cosy, place them well so they are not annoying for walking

A IDEA: You know the empty area where there were huge icebergs and now nothing 😅. So it is a area of not interest but can make it interesting by making it into a bay connecting it to the sea. The BENEFITS as you have taken inspiration from old mystical the of series and have a viking boat I your build . It would be perfect area to bend it . On the floor lighting problem, you can use lights under slabs instead of trying to hide lights with carpets. Put the light a block below the floor, then the slab is even with the floor on the block above the light.
