I didn't see any fuel and there are holes in the side, also don't those fans need to be balanced perfectly? Quite a bit of rattling when bolted together, real jet rpms would tear it apart, if I had to guess it only runs by the electric motor.
@Kruzin878 ай бұрын
Yea as cool as it is it's not real jet engine that runs off fuel that's why the wires are coming around it to the control module that probably has batteries in it to make it turn faster and what not a real one would have alot more parts that's for sure and be crazy more expensive lol but it's still cool though if it didn't cost so much id def like to build it

This is only meant to be an open engine to show all working parts, when you see all the compressor blades these would all be enclosed since this is where massive pressure is built, then massive air and exhaust pressure is blasted through rear blades which turns front fan, for control of all this you would need much more electronics, and everything would be sealed, but this is so impressive for a see through working turbofan engine

The kit is so great, exactly the same as how the actually engine will be assembled. Also they cleverly utilized the accessory gearbox, not transmitting torque from the tubine to the gearbox but instead reverse it to transmitting the torque of the electric motor to the engine rotor. Great design!

It's not a real engine. Did you see the last part he put on, the black part. That's actually a small electric motor that turns the engine and it's probably running on batteries. Did it not occur to you that he didn't put any fuel in it. You can also see a cutout in the compression chamber so you can see the blades spinning.
@5eleven11 ай бұрын
Now we need a suitable jet for that engine🤠

@@Skyprince27 That’s what I thought when seeing how precisely machined it is, all kinds of hardware to insure it’s held together correctly, then you add amperage with a cool little “throttle” and all it does is hum and spin all those parts around. Oh well, to each his own. I mean, how long at looking at blades spinning around until you’re bored and it ends up in the closet cuz I bet it wasn’t cheap either.

We have a functional mini-turbofan, that is cool in itself. So I still really need to see a legitimate miniature copy of a VTOL/ STOVL jet in action, performing vertical takeoff, thrust vector into horizontal flight using stable aerodynamic lift, then thrust vector into a controlled vertical landing. Work on a mini-Pegasus rig, or F135- LiftSystem mockup, develop a proper airframe, make a quality video of that process happening & I guarantee you will have an infamous place in history
