Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

You should consider putting a tail gunner on your biplane. You'd be surprised how many fighters I took down with it. Edit: Yep, I said it about a second before Scrapman came to the same conclusion

I'd be interested in seeing the affects of stacking the stackable helicopter engines. Double the engines = Double lift? If so, you could trade out those upwards mini-thrusters to save on powercores.

Scrapman 16:49 you put a helicopter engine inside the fuselage for yaw, if you want better yaw, use steering hinges underneath your rotors that tilt slightly to the side of the craft. The way you have yours set up is smart but ineffective for power cores sake. You will know that the Chinook works when it spins you around the aft rotor. And 19:00 some pretty rough landing, consider putting the one back wheel in the front, and the two front wheels at the back, the new rear wheel could have suspension and a wider wheel base for maximum security, and less chance of the wheels coming of, or rolling over the metal hotdog.

11:18 The missiles have almost perfect aim and are very reliable. Your problem is not their inaccuracy. Your problem is shooting them while turning fast. The weapons turn only so fast and when you turn your vehicle faster than they can compensate, of course they will miss the target. The reticule is not pointing where the turrets are pointing. It is pointing where they are aiming at. Big difference.

18:22 you could put the angle sensor on a rotating servo and have it angle for strafing. Been working on a stable helicopter design that uses only helicopter engines, have not been able to perfect it so some advice would help

For the box in the cave its easy actually to pick it up. You need to go down there, and go around from the right side of the wall. There is an opening there.

You can pass through the slats by the chest, the platform goes into the ground which makes it easy to get on top, then, drop down into the slat at the back by the chest. There is a small ledge you can jump on in the slat you can get back on the platform with to return to your vehicle. Be careful of the slats to the front of the ledge, since the opening is smaller toward the center of the cave.

landing flaps also make your plane more maneuverable in dogfighting in exchange for a little speed since they increase lift

My only thing is that, especially with a helicopter, you are REALLY slow in comparison to your plane. So it might be better to build in guns on your left and right flanks, and program them to have their own buttons and compensation thrusters if need be. So if you’re carrying Chirpos and get attacked by dog fighters, you have the required firepower.

a small tip for dogfighting if you use flaps while turning it makes you have a smaller turning circle, try it out scrapman but i recommend using only 4 flaps on the bottom wing so it doesn’t create too much drag and cause you to lose speed too much speed

What a great new innovation, totally not inspired by a real life thing. But you know what's not in real life? A race like the one I've been suggesting for 145 days! Day 145 of asking for a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot in the mechanic station. Everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, gathering their own materials. No glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races their builds

Scrapman, just entertain this thought for me. That "hidden treasure chest". Try taking a bit of a walk around in that pit. Look "around" and investigate the area on foot rather than in any kind of vehicle. You might find something if you "look behind the curtain."

The dragon engines could be up a bit. Just need a side door and a hatch/ramp for the rear. Then you made a CH-47. Its bottom is a bit fatter as well.

Maybe the reason why the missiles don’t always hit the AA’s is because you’re steering while firing and it’s causing them to lose just enough lock that they miss? That’s sorta what I’m noticing there so maybe try just flying straight at them without steering away until after you fire the missiles?
