I Built a Railgun That Uses Buckshot to Tear Through Targets - Trailmakers

The Railgun expert here, you know the one. The solution to all your issues is more magnets. Adding barrel length wouldn’t be that effective, so what you need is to double layer them! Note, when double layering you typically wanna offset the second layer by one block. This creates a ridged connection with the magnets themselves. And also helps stagger the magnets so the pause between force is 1 frame instead of 2. (Yea, that actually makes a massive difference.) Next up is the projectiles. While true that weight matters the most with the new collisions, you still wanna be able to shoot it. I suggest using Gyros as ammunition. Set to 10 strength to make it stronger, it’s like how racing stripes make you faster. Up next is dragons breath. You should use scornes and/or campfires to achieve the effect. Ether that or call the first one Dragons Breath and make a true birdshot using pipe peices or something. And a lot of them.

Magnet expert here, I'm merely suggesting. The reason you may be experiencing difficulties with firing is because your magnets don't have enough time to charge up, maybe add a delay (a fraction of a second) to the disconnector blocks, this will help your pellets fly off almost immediately as compared to unloading in the span of 1 second without applying much force. Making the magnet effective immediately is worse than applying force before shooting, this info has helped me quite a bit. Take it with a grain of salt.

Oh another idea for the shotgun is put some logic on the projectile to do like a discarding sabot that maybe tuns on a sensor to detatch the projectiles from eachother after they leave the barrel. Shotgun shells do a similar thing minus the logic anyways. They generally have a shot cup that decelerates from wind resistance much faster than the buck/bird shot. You should have less issues with it blowing up your barrel since it will basicly be a solid single object instead of many small ones bouncing around in the barrel.

To help with aim you could center a conventional weapon behind the center of your non conventional weapon and keep the retical active but dont bind firing the weapon to anything so that you have it just for the retical. You could also place it behind the seat for a nice aiming retical from first person view

Shot vs Slugs Shot shoots multiple pellets with a sort of AoE, also called "blunder" in ye olden speak Slugs are traditional bullets but already in ye olden speak *Shot*guns do indeed have a trio, but that trio goes Birdshot Law enforcement shot Buckshot Then slugs have their own Hollow point Slug Round point Slug Rifle Slug There are other slugs and other shots but those are the basic ones

Howdy earthling. i've been watching you from outer space now for some time. Good videos and interesting concepts. But, i have a out of this world challenge idea for you. (i dont play this game nor know if it will work) but what the heck, you wont know til u try. I want you to build a Horizontal Oval UFO, attached to a pair of wings with 2 engines on each wing. Sounds easy right ? Here's the catch. The UFO must be attached at the top of a oval, and spin in between the wings, While also having trusters so it shakes and spins u of axis.
