Regarding your landing strategy: might I recommend packing a sleeping bag? A cheap Walmart sleeping bag can be rolled up/packed into a bag for easy transport, then unrolled/ unzipped to give a relatively large and soft landing area that can be deployed basically anywhere you can call dibs on some space. You can even do things like having some assistants hold it out like a net.

Well the camera actually already films 5.6k resolution. But that’s shared by the entire view, a portion of which only makes it into the final video framing. We really need like 10K minimum before these cameras can replace cinema class cameras.

@@SirWrender Maybe you could engineer some small retractable legs to land on that could be out of the way during filming. I don't imagine it would be too hard if you used some notched posts and a wheel to drive them up and down, or even some that just swing down like a plane. The footage looks amazing so would be cool to not need new lenses every time you fly it. A large pillow on the ground would work too though.

I've said it before and I'm compelled to say it again (in a different way). When I first saw this footage I was BLOWN aWAY by not only the footage itself, but the music that was chosen for this sequence. I've always been a HUUGE believer in the power of music in videos, and have employed that philosophy in my own videos as well. When I pick a track that I know I can film the appropriate footage to, I ALWAYS get chills when I put it together in a way that compliments that music AND footage in the perfect way. When I saw this video, when that track started playing with the AMAZING footage that it was put to, it deeply touched and impacted me in the exact same way that those few gems of mine I've put together touched me, it evoked EMOTION, it gave me CHILLS, it made me misty-eyed as I watched the finished product on my monitor while I thought "GodDAMN this is SUCH a GOOD ONE!". In this case it was so much so that I went hunting through the comments looking for the name of that track because I KNEW that THAT song was one that I wanted to use for MY OWN epicly appropriate vids, that I haven't even created yet but I know that THIS track, is what I want to save for the SPECIAL vid, the one that is not only unique, but a BANGER in my eyes/ears. Despite (and not forgetting) all the BADASS videos that y'all have made on the Corridor channel, for the reasons stated above, THIS one has been branded into my neurons as one of the timeless ones, one of the ones that inspired me the MOST and gave me the BIGGEST sense of potential. When I find and/or film the footage/vlog/video that I KNOW is one of the "hero" vids, one of the EPIC ones, THIS track at the end is the one I will use (courtesty of Epidemic Sound, naturally XD) to REALLY bring that feeling and emotion home, and when I do, I'm DEFINITELY going to cry while making and watching whatever video that may be before I post it. THAT'S when I know that my project is one of the most meaningful ones, one of the "greats", and one that I will reserve jewel tracks like "All For Me" for; Only the BEST, and only the greatest. I love ALL of you, dammit! XD Thank you SO much for the inspiration and the teaching, and in a way, the RESOURCES that push and drive me to broaden my horizons and hone the same craft that all of you are already so prolificly BADASS at. Stay beamin', Corridor Crew ❤❤❤😂😭😄🖖

I was wondering if a couple of thin 3D printed "legs" on the bottom of the drone would help, to keep it off the ground slightly. They wouldn't have to be long, just enough so the lens doesn't touch ground. I've only flown a crappy cheap drone a couple times though so I dunno how that affects aerodynamics.

@ThunderHorseWx4 жыл бұрын
@@SirWrender They make lightweight motorized retracts that operate with the flip of a switch. Essentially have 2 wire helicopter skids that fold to same plane as the drone body. You just mount them, plug them in, and assign the channel on you transmitter. This takes less than an hour. I've done it myself multiple times. If you're gonna spend the time to cad and print camera mounts, it's nothing extra to just include a couple more hard points into the shape file before printing. It'll cost less than $100 with minimal to no added complexity to the existing design. Not sure what you mean by that.

When I was listening to the way the drone was constructed, I came up with a couple of ideas on how to protect the lens (if you haven't already tried these anyway). Is it possible to put some kind of clear protective coating over the lenses, such as something rubberized or a plastic clip-over (less like the lens protectors and more like a screen protector or contact lenses)? Another idea could be to put clear/acrylic landing legs on both sides of the drone so you don't end up landing on the lenses during crashes or during a bad landing. Maybe you could put landing legs into the mount right next to the lenses?

celicynd this would be true in for a full “vr” 3d effect with a sense of depth, like what you see in 3d movies at theaters, and that is stereoscopic imagery, but 360 photos like the ones taken for google’s street view, which can be viewed in vr, the stereoscopic postprocessing is applied when viewing the content. This means the images don’t give the viewer a true sense of depth, but the viewer can watch the content in a virtual reality headset if only with a slightly less immersive experience.

Giveaway: I like to go skiing every winter and I would like to record my adventures, but I own an old GoPro hero 3 and it’s battery life is, at most, 15 minutes and it doesn’t read SD cards well. With a Insta360 ONE R I would be able to record much more amusing shots, using the FlowState stabilization I would have smother shots, having the camera water proof I wouldn’t need a bulky case to protect it, and finally, it has a pretty sick adaptive design. I also own a Mavic Pro drone and I’m pretty passionate in flying it, and if I win the ariel Edition camera my ability and level of creativity will dramatically increase. I’ve been considering one for 2 years now, contemplating, wether I should buy one or not. Insta360’s work truly amazes me, they practically own the feild of 360 cameras. They are able to create great 360 camera for great prices too. If I win this amazing give away I would be delighted and would be able to express my creativity through a great way, videography.
