My disdain for farming them started when their roots were bugged on bedrock and had no correct tool. Thats fixed now but they are so inconsistent, atleast the branches are consistent, even if annoying to chop.

For the paths under the gates, You should be able to break the gates, do the path, and put them back on top, it's worked for me

If you dig a 5x5x5 hole and plant the mangrove tree in the floor it will grow perfectly

You might want to build a few lamp posts for the sniffer sanctuary. Also you need to build a giant statue of a sniffer: adult, baby, and egg.

Mangroves are easier to harvest if you work down from the top. So if you wait until the vines grow down to the ground, you can climb up those to the top, and then look through the leaves to find the topmost log. You can also use a hoe to clear the leaves out of the way.

One of the cutest micro-builds I've heard of for Sniffers is packed mud stairs and slabs around a solitary moss block, to make a nest. A little cluster of those as some nesting grounds would be _so_ bleeping adorable! 😍🥰

Dear Gem, you have been a huge inspiration to me. I started watching your videos a few months ago, and because of you, I became interested in playing Minecraft. Both my kids have played it in the past, but it never seemed interesting to me. Your chill, no stress, happy vibe gave me a new outlook on the game. I started playing on my youngest child’s account, but it wasn’t long before I made the purchase for my own account. I’ve been playing both Java on my computer and bedrock on my Switch. We tried doing the LAN method of playing together, but it just wasn’t working properly. Tonight I broke down and joined Realms so we could play together on one server, regardless if we all are playing. It also means that on the weekends when they have to go to their dads, we can still play together. I dismissed them at first, but one of my favorite additions to Minecraft is the Allay. Sniffers are now my 3'rd application to utilize them for farms. First was wheat farms, second was a Scute farm, and since Turtles and Sniffers share a long item drop time, Allay to the rescue! It's so easy to squirrel a silent hopper clock/collection system underground, and a pair of Allay to collect the seeds and pods.

to add the path under a gate you have to remove the gate first, then add a path and place the gate on top of an already made path. I hope that was explained clearly enough

you could try putting bamboo wood or oak wood planks under that gate so that the transition in the entrance isnt so jarring? cute build gem love the work the colours go really nice

Gem, you can actually shovel the floor underneath the gates, but you have to shovel it first and then place the gates ontop, you really should add that next time, it helps my head (and judging by your reaction, it would help yours too) hope that helps :)

You could mix in gravel and course dirt in the pathway, and just have dirt and geavel under the fence gates, so it doesn't look out of place, Sniffers are awesome

Builders tip; you can do path blocks before gates that way the path still goes through the gate to the other side, it shouldn't remove the path block. :)
