Also even when I didn’t “own” all the packs (🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ now :p) I still downloaded lots even if I was missing packs, I would just replace any missing things with CC or furniture from other packs

As someone who doesn’t actually download your builds, and exclusively just watches your videos every day, I don’t really care for basegame builds. Don’t worry about downloadability or playability, just use your creativity and make them interesting! (And that doesn’t necessarily mean a modern build).

I absolutely adore your builds and as someone who only owns the base game, I do appreciate you doing builds with limited packs. But I know I'm not the only person here who would love to rather see your creativity shine over having to deal with only the base game. Your intentions are pure, and for that we all love and respect you for it, but many of us simply come here to watch your creativity flow and to show us tips and tricks. I personally build my own houses based off of ideas from you rather than downloading it. Therefore, seeing a house with a million packs is fine because I won't be downloading it anyway. We all really appreciate what you do, but don't be scared to upload a video or two a week where you use a million packs!

With that being said though… there’s just not that much creativity :( She should do different styles in a budget basegame challenge! It’ll be nice to see her push herself like so. For the sake of the video please avoid basegame furniture (you can only do so many basegame under 20k builds). Changing up the color scheme doesn't change the fact that you use the same items everywhere. Toilets specifically are the only item that I'm cool with reusing in every build 🤷🏻‍♀️ Living, kitchen and bedrooms are too similar probably because of the price range, to the point that I'm no longer entertained cause I know what's coming

SIMSIE BUILD CHALLENGE: building a house with things you never/rarely do. Example, closed off rooms, hallways, separate entrance area, basement, wallpaper first, bathrooms must be different from eachother, No blue exterior, a play room, carpet, different landscaping, different skill items (no chess! Or blarffy), the rooms could be in styles you don't usually do (goth bedroom, modern kitchen..) These are not the rules, just suggestions on how you could approach the challenge. Nothing too hard, just a step outside your comfort zone.

The thing about building for a large family is to accommodate a large family, meaning: the dinning room should seat every sim and the living room should seat every sim... Can you imagine a real family of 8 but only have a sofa that seats 4? It just doesn't make sense

It's actually more common than you might think. The living room in my house is actually very much like this. We have a family of five and live in a small home. We have a loveseat, so two seater, two small computer chairs, and a piano with bench, so I guess someone can sit on that, but usually one or two of the kids just sit on the floor if we're all on there together.

A single bathroom for a family of 6 is pretty normal. I talk from personal experience. Grew up in a family of 6, and never ever lived in any place with more than a single bathroom. Total of three bedrooms, a kitchen-dining room and a living room. Also, had a basement. Kayla use a lot of blue because, since day 1, those are almost the only swatches that are not overwhelming. We are just starting to get nice swatches that are not blue or grey.

I swear, I feel like I've seen this already a couple of times (if not way more). I love the way you build and that's why I would love to see more starter houses with all the other packs too, I think we've got lots with just basegame already and some look honestly all the same. It'd be nice (and more fun too!) to see something different, for all the other players who have more packs too. Even not on a budget, cos let's be real, everyone knows the motherlode code so it's kinda unnecessary. Also you really made it unnecessarly hard on yourself with this one, lowering the starter budget, the teen room in particular looks absolutely sad😂. Although I love the exterior I wouldn't keep anything on the inside, it's just too boring with no personality and I kinda wanna see a bit of it.

I tried this challenge once and counted the different sections of counter separately if that makes sense, like normal counter section plus corner section plus the smaller edge pieces from each end. All technically different items! Same with cabinets

I would love to see a $2k budget random limited pack Reno of some of these base game family starters! Like use a random pack generator, you get $2,000 simoleons (this is easy to save up, accounts for item depreciation and pack items generally being affordable) to renovate a family home. The base game houses are already built (you have so many to chose from!) and can show people getting into the game the difference between some packs and no packs. I think you could do this a bunch with different random packs and base game homes. Plus this is how a lot of people play as they add packs into their existing games/saves!

When it comes to always using blue 💙 There is a really cool lady who teaches how to sew quilts on KZbin. She has an entire playlist about color theory. In it, she explains that every person as their own color zone. She believes and has observed that when doing creative projects... in her case sewing thousands of scraps of fabric together... people tend to do their best work and find the most motivation when working within their own color zone. I've seen similar opinions from knitting and crochet youtubers also. It's better when you like the color. I think it's interesting 🤔 and Sims is creative enough that the color zone theory would apply here too Nothing wrong imo opinion of having so much blue

What if you did like an opposite budget challenge? Like set a pretty high budget and see if you can make a normal looking house but using a ridiculously large budget as a minimum

Challenge idea I would love to see: build a house how you normally would, any style any size any budget. But you CANNOT use the keyboard at all. With the only exception of using bb.moveobjects and other build cheats (like debug). But no keybinds. No WASD, no arrow keys, no to rotate, and no alt placing. Play the game and do a build with only the mouse, it should be possible.
