I was looking through the Fan Showdown submissions which got me thinking, maybe its time again to shake things up a bit. I have always wanted to compare fans based on which one can produce the most static pressure. This was the idea behind season 5 test bench, each fan pushed air through a radiator then using a anemometer we measured that airflow to try and infer what fan was producing the most static pressure. However this wasn't a perfect solution, to get a real static pressure reading we need to use a monometer. Now, before I go out and try and find a monometer that will work with PC cooling fan I wanted to try and create a DIY solution. So today we look at what I came up with and I ask you to voice your opinion on how well you think this will or will not work.
