My 30-YO Honda HR-219 gave up & I was looking for an alternative. Ego seems to be the best of the best, though not a win here. I ran one of these for one season - 1: couldn't pick up leaves in the fall 2: Anemic power to scalp the lawn in the spring. So as a 1:1 replacement for the Honda, this was a fail. These electric mowers do have a slotted use as a simple, main growing season trimmer. Extending the operating envelope beyond this would be a stretch. Cheers, FanBelt32

Most of the sound can be removed by introducing Wire Race bearings. Eros Nocilau has a video on making those with 3d-printed parts and some wire.
