I Built a Subway in Satisfactory! - Ep 1 New Mega Factory Build

This video is the first in a Satisfactory Update 7 mini-series that will show you my entire Turboville factory build. This video focuses on building an underground train network and the design for 2 rail stations for iron and rubber. This mega factory will make turbo motors, cooling systems, and heat sinks in a Satisfactory design that will look like a small town.
You will find some awesome Satisfactory gameplay in this first episode (ep 1) of this Let's Play series and also get some awesome tips and tricks along the way. The tunnel I made uses a really cool blueprint, which really helps design like this be possible.
This factory will let me complete the last Tier 8 milestone and be able to move on to no waste nuclear power and finish the space elevator parts. It also has some great tips on how to use signs as part of your Satisfactory builds

Thanks king! You are my favorite new commenter. Those floors are kinda weak purple. The color on the concrete floors isn't very strong so it looks washed out. The color is very blue on my screen, but it doesn't look super blue on the floor

I'm glad this was a recommended video for me. Great build, and I do the same thing on my rail network. Two freight cars, and if I need more throughput, I add on with either another separate train, or plug it into my drone network. Also I like to use small modular factories, 8x8 in size.

The custom swatch is currently bugged, as you have found, If you change the colours of the predefined swatches and assign thing to that, then it will actually build in that colour. Bit of a pain

How does the path signals going into the intersection blocks allow for more than one train in the block? I thought paths could only contain one train like regular blocks on condition the next block is also open.

As long as the train paths are not going to collide, you can have 2 trains in the same block. so you can have a train entering turning right and a train exiting turning left at the same time because their paths don't cross. I have another video on 4 way train intersections that demonstrates this in the 2nd half of the video. check it out!

Interesting, i was reading the wiki and the in game description and didnt really understand blocks until i tried it out myself with bidirectional tracks with paths between intersections. It worked for a while til i got 3 trains running the se area and frequently going through the same intersection and then they started getting stuck. I eventually switched to the two single direction tracks and it solved that problem but i couldnt figure out how to implement the paths so ive been using blocks the whole way and figured the trains can just be patient. Ill definitely check this out and use it, thanks!

@@Feltare my first train was bidirectional as well but that was before there was collision in the game! It is definitely tough to get the signaling right. Using all blocks is just fine…incorporating paths where needed might move things a little faster, but definitely not required

sorry but i dislike the tunnel going to to the ramp, does'nt look smooth, more looks blocky to me. cant you build it triangular? or atleast the sign´s?

It’s all good. You definitely don’t have to like everything. I tried removing the signs from the blueprint and building them on diagonal beams. The ends were then on an angle and I didn’t really like that. I am sure there would have been a good way to hide it but I was too lazy to find it 😉

@@DrLootCrate could you not use mirco manage and make the tunnel in a diagonal ramp form? and have in blueprint? from what i hear in the modded discord, so long you use mo extra mods that add extra things, you sould be able to same it and upload anyway even after if you dont have mirco manage installed.
