Iskall some Create tips, Windmills don't rely on height... or even direction, simply the number of sails attached to it. You can even have them build upside-down in a cave and it will still work. Also another cheap source of power for Create is a line of water wheels, just something to look into

seeing the added requirements to your pack's create mod recipes, and knowing what the normal create mod recipes are like, i feel like your pack is just making life harder on yourselves. i get adding like 1 or 2 ores into a recipe to drive efforts to going into vaults, but create is fairly balanced on it's own

Iskall, one of the more efficient (and possibly cheaper) ways of producing power in create is with a waterwheel. Especially if you have multiple. Windmills might need a lot of space also, whereas waterwheels can be one giant horizontal power source.
@phandinhkhang6145
@phandinhkhang6145 2 жыл бұрын
Waterwheel cost about as much as windmill in this modpack (1 pog + 16 black opals). So you either go for a windmill with the same amount of pog, or furnace engine which costs only 1.5 pog.
@codinghub3759
@codinghub3759 2 жыл бұрын
The thing with windmills is that the sails pass straight through blocks. So, you don't actually need all that much space. Plus, they produce a ton of stress units.

Iskall a good thing to remember wrt the blaze burner is that fuel lasts (in ticks/seconds) the same as it does in a regular furnace (eg 1 coal lasts 80 seconds). You can also measure the blaze burner’s state with a comparator and use a deployer to feed it fuel

agreed. I wanna build a steampunk airship with create, but instead have to focus on not being wasteful with the create parts due to them requiring vault gems. I mean, the windmill required an entire pog! rip to putting four of them under my ship as propellers.

Yeah, the progression balance is very much oriented for a hardcore long term audience and not a casual one i suppose it's good if you are very experienced with it and wanna make 100s of episodes on KZbin about it or make a long term twitch series out of it, but it kinda sucks if you are a more casual player who just wants to go at ones own pace and enjoy the ride while playing though having to constantly think about harder and harder vaults to find the rather rare materials needed to be able to craft basically anything modded isn't particularly great if you just wanna chill and play (doesn't help that you basically need to know the vault rooms in and out if you want to actually find any vault ores) Its a great idea, it's fun to watch, and in theory it's fun to play, but in practice it kinda sucks to play if you aren't already experienced with it and don't have the time to dedicate to it (i personally probably would enjoy it if there was a sister pack with more casual friendly balancing)

They should definitely make a “lite” version or smth that eases on the recipe cost. Me and a couple friends tried playing on a server and it lasted for about 3 weeks. After I decided to delete the recipe changing mod that makes everything way more expensive, the server became active again for another 3 months. The balance is frankly awful for anyone who doesn’t play this game as their career.
@Lynndissimo
@Lynndissimo 2 жыл бұрын
This modpack really suffers from the AAA game dev issue. There is far too much focus on play time rather than how much of the time spent is fun. Who cares if you get 1000 hours in the game if you only enjoy 5 of them.

A tiny suggestion for create: a really good way to get power is with the furnace engine. Tango made a really efficient design, and would be really good for vault hunters with the large qualities of resources needed later on in the future. The only issue is that it may not be cheap, seeing how a lot of stuff from the create mod is expensive in vault hunters. Here is the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJTco6JqfbCYY8k

Someone already mentioned the JEI favorites thing where you press "A" to favorite things that then appear on the left side of your inventory, but I'm mentioning it again. For Create, get a toolbox. The brown one is the craftable one. This allows you to instantly swap to any Create component without using your inventory space just by holding alt. It's amazing. Also, hold "W" on the chain gearshift in JEI.

The reason the smaller gear moved faster than the bigger gear is because the smaller one has more rpm since it has less gear teeth than the big one so when u put a bigger gear on top it will have more momentum than the first gear and will carry on the speed to the next gear and when that new gear is smaller it gains more rpm it is called a gear ratio Rpm means Rotation per minute. I'm sorry for a long comment but I have to know this stuff when changing gears on my go-kart before a race.

Iskall, I know I am a little late to the party, but if you don't want to use your ores on the windmills you can use plain wool to run the windmill instead, it takes more wool, so a sheep farm is necessary, but no gems required. Granted you would need glue for that to work, so it depends on the glue cost.

At the beginning of the Ault hunters stream you mentioned not really wanting to move, but you feel like you made a promise to us. Personally I just like watching your videos, whatever you feel you need to do to put out content do. If that means making a couple of people slightly disappointed that's totally fine. All I know is that I enjoy your content.
