Also, pro tip for skylights: you don't need to manually delete the ceiling tiles under glass roofs. The game automatically makes them invisible! That would save you a lot of the headache with the ceiling issues!

17:45 a way to get around this is drawing a one tile length fence elsewhere and then picking it up and moving it to fill the hole! you can also do this with walls and that way have rooms that don't count towards the tile count :)

Thank you so much for this! I've been able to make 2 story microhomes, but i have to delete a section of wall from the downstairs in order to keep it from counting as a room. i usually put a gate in the empty space. similar for when i want a fence on the roof. i'll be trying this out on my next build!

You can draw walls and fences separately and place them. It doesn't complete the room. I love making cheat tiny homes with placed walls and fences to extend the living space whilst keeping it technically a micro home. You can fix the lighting by putting good lights in and making the light colour warmer. I would love to see you make a big cheat micro home for this poor family!

This build turned out so cute. I can only imagine the chaos trying to play in it with 8 sims though, that would be a braver simmer than me. You could have maybe just had one sink in the bathroom to save space in the kitchen for something else. I think the outside space at the back is my fave part.
@karentjeuuuh Жыл бұрын
If u build one fence piece outside the area and then grab it an place it in the spot to close the gap it will not count it as a room

17:22 Draw the fences without pulling them from the house. Like, draw a straight line detached from the house, then move it to line it up. You can do it with all 4 sides and not create more tiles iirc.
@amythestkitty Жыл бұрын
Deli can you free place the fence instead? Like draw a single til fence and then place it where you want it? I don't think it makes flooring if its done that way
@sabrinasugar2819 Жыл бұрын
That should work. I’ve seen so many people do the same thing to make “fake” rooms for more space. The problem with that is the game considers it “outside” so the lighting gets odd. Deli should be good to go because all she wanted was for it to be outside anyways.
@hotmessmasta Жыл бұрын
This way should work. I did this with my microhome since it was a 100 baby challenge and all the kids stuff was in the yard to stop other sims from using all the stuff in my yard. And sleeping in my kids beds aka the tents lol

For the fencing issue counting as tiles, build your fence missing one tile and then build the missing 1 tile of fence off to the side, and then pick it up and move it to fill in the gap! Then the game won't count it as a room so it won't add to the tile count! You can do this to build extra rooms with proper walls to keep the perks of a tiny home while having some extra space☺️
@Em_Stir_0616 Жыл бұрын
Woah! How you pulled this off was absolute magic! I love how much detail you put into this build even though it’s a tiny home and it turned out beautifully. I will always stand by eco lifestyle, it’s the best pack, without a doubt. Keep being so creative and talented Deli!❤

for the fence thing building floor = you can draw the fence all around the place you want it to be except for one tile. then draw one piece of fence somewhere else (so its not connecting to your original fence) then click on it and you can drag it over to fill in the one spot you didnt draw! im so sorry if this didnt make sense lol im not super good at explaining things :)

I've been building a lot lately so here's a tip! Don't be afraid to move objects slightly into the wall and pretend they're built into the wall! Should help with the bunk bed situation.
@elliotgibsonroberts6672 Жыл бұрын
17:36 you can get around that by removing one fence piece, and placing another fence piece away from the enclosure and then move it into the empty space in the enclosure, if that makes sense. That way it wont count as a room!
@deligracy Жыл бұрын
It does. Thank you! No matter how many times I get told this, for some reason I never remember!
@LunaWitcherArt Жыл бұрын
22:08 try putting spandrels instead of deleting the walls (You'll have to redraw the walls you want to keep if they're all in the same line). That should keep the room as a room and not merge it with others, so you can isolate the deletion/creation of ceilings.

Also talking about periods, PMS refers to the many symptoms (pain, cramps, mood swings, bloating etc) that happen before the first day of the period cycle (ie pre-menstrual syndrome). Would be more accurate to refer to mood swings as mood swings during the period itself. Wanted to let younger period-havers know :)
@Charlee1776 Жыл бұрын
The way around the auto-flooring is to build 1 section of your fence/wall separately (even just 1 tile worth will work) and set that aside until you have everything else you want built. then just pick up and move that section in to place. This is another one of those "features" they never got to actually work properly.

Deli did you know you can use the small box from dream decorator and High School as a red shelf?
@alkemi5522 Жыл бұрын
A way around that wuld be making a 'fake room' you instead of drawing the whole box, you draw one side's wall/fence elswhere and then move it to where you need it - it won't 'make a room', so it won't count. You can do that with walls too, so some people use this method to 'cheat' the tiny home. But in some cased it kinda makes sense to 'cheat the game' - like when James was building a greenhouse in the start of his HS years LP, but still wanted to keep the house itself tiny

I unintentionally built a micro home for 8 sims, and it looks terrible. Seeing yours made want to renovate their home lol. In my current save, I started with a male sim doing Rag to Riches(he earns from doing odd jobs only) in Sulani. I have WW mods installed too, my sim fell so hard for one female townie. So, after he made some good money to his name and managed to build a decent micro home, I made him married the female townie(because I got the inheritance money quest too). Surprise, surprise, she already had 4 kids! lol She lived with her sister, so I could have just left her kids with the aunt but it just feels so wrong, you know. So I had to move her 4 kids in with them too. Now, the house had 6 sims all together; 2 young adults, 2 children, and 2 todlers, I had to cram every necessity for 6 sims in 32 tiles, and my dude barely had enough to support 4 kids, so terrible T-T. One day I wasn't in the mood to play the game, I just wanted to build. After I finished building I played aroud in the new build for a while, probably a week in game and I noticed my Rag to Riches sims walking by my home. That's right. I forgot to build in a new save! When I got back to play with them, they had 2 more babies T-T Good things that one child aged up to a teen and the other one was nearly aging up, otherwise my dude would have to work like mad.
