@@fromisabella Frankly, this project has several glaring issues... Which is exactly what you'd expect from a prototype made by someone who's not a textile/electrical engineer. And the jacket looks great! Still, a few hours of research into various DIY products like conductive threads by adafruit specifically made for clothes, would have eliminated entire steps of the process. Is this a bad time to tell you about conductive thread so you don't have to fuss with wires or french hems done to seam things together without turning things inside out? Conductive thread is often used on light up clothing (also the fingertips of touchscreen gloves). If you make lighter weight wearable keyboards (e.g. a scarf) that might work better, you could even embroider the wire traces all nice and neat.
@loppiopio4 ай бұрын
wearable scarf keyboard sounds sick actually.
@Dell-ol6hb3 ай бұрын
well the issue with conductive thread is that it would be really tricky for a project like this because if any of the threads touch each other the keys are just not going to work at all, this isn't an issue with normal wires because they're insulated. That alone would probably immediately make the project even more difficult

I've been daily-driving Purples in a Keychron K10 Pro since February, and I am *_thoroughly_* satisfied. The typing experience is just what I was hoping for, nice and light and smooth with enough of a positive tactile bump to let me know unambiguously that the switch has been actuated without having to bottom it out. The springs seemed a bit *_too_* light at first, the space bar didn't want to rebound every time, but that was due to excess factory lube in the stabs. I swapped them for TX AP screw-ins and everything works beautifully.
