"might've" is a stretch, i just want to give an opinion on this so if say they won all rounds with wool rush, a win is 160, starting from round 6 as thats after cyan called out green so green stared a different strat 160*4=640 they would get 640 unmultiplied for 4 more rounds with no kill, then its 1280 after multiplied by 2, we then add that to their score at the end of round 5 1600+1280=2880 game score or we can just do 160*9*2 to get the same value so then we add that to their event score from game 4, which is 6542 6542+2880=9422 event score meanwhile the score they got in the event after game 5 is 9022, so they still lose as their hypothetical score would be 20439, which still places them at 3rd *i do wonder if the whole ant snitching might've drained their confidence levels for the rest of the games, that would be the major factor on why they were 3rd* if you want, you can do the calculation on your own from the score breakdown on the official site, then grab the data from mcc live and the stream
