Man I highly recommend it. I’ve had it running through 2 winters now and it’s amazing how warm everything in the shop is when you heat from the floor up. Tools, benches, tractors everything is warm instead of cold.

Great stuff! Will be putting up a pole barn with radiant floor in the next year and ive been looking for a DIY solution for using wood fuel to heat it, but with a back up/secondary option too. Looking at solar for that.

Thanks, unfortunately I did not. Something about a concrete truck pulling in the driveway make me forget about the go-pros every time. I’ll tip my hat to the concrete guys that film their pours, they are a lot better at this than I am. Thanks for watching.

Nice setup! You say water, but are you using something that prevents it from freezing? Also, does the water heater keep it warm enough to not freeze and that allows you to just use water?

Thanks man, glad you liked it. It’s just water straight out of the hose. Never freezes because I keep a fire going when it’s cold out. I do plan to add some antifreeze for freeze protection it I’m not home and also corrosion prevention.

I haven’t yet, I plan on putting used antifreeze or something in it but need to verify it works with pex first. So far everything is working great.

Yes I used 1/2” pex. You can order big rolls on Amazon for very cheap.

Wish people showed howbthey welded a....plate... inside a barrel..... So the pump comes from tank into water heater... so what gets it fro. The water heater to the floor and back? The vacuum, water tight seal of the system??

The pump is drawing from the tank, that same pump pushes the water through the hot water tank, through the manifold, through the floor, back through the manifold and back into the top tank. The water just continuously flows through the system.
