I built a WORKING MINESHAFT ELEVATOR in Minecraft Create Mod

It's time to upgrade our mining operation, we need diamonds for backpack upgrades! Among other things... we build a working elevator mineshaft, automate drilling with a janky drill contraption and face our darkest fears we didn't even know we had... what a day!

You can use a furnace minecart instead of a normal one when assembling your contaption, so you can just give it some coal and it will go without the need of powered rails

@@MartianDill you would only need like 5 redstone blocks because the drills can mine the redstone blocks behind the minecarft and place them aigan infront of them and even if its only 1 coal per use, if i remember correctly (corresct me if im wrong) then the coal doesnt hold infinitly and it would be harder to afk the drill, because you would have to also rightclick the furnance minecaft with coal instead of just sitting there and waiting

Little tip for the drawers.. There is a special block called trim.. It does nothing but act as an connecting block for drawers.. As you had in the beginning of the episode.

I suggest swapping out the redstone torches for blocks in case you hit a lava or water pocket. This way the machine can literally go through a lava pool without issues. Love the designs of the building btw!

Suggestion: add a boarded up entrance to the deep dark tunnel just past the elevator stop just to add atmosphere and also prevent any mobs from wandering right in front of the stop

I've never seen a more simplistic design of the elevator, I have been looking everywhere and all videos make it a super complex Redstone design with dozens of Redstone links all color coded and thanks to you I do not have to try any of them :)

You should build a museum. When ever you update a building or tear it down, you should take a photo (like what you did with your tent) and display it For example, when you eventually tear down the mob farm to build a better farm, you can take a photo and place a spawn cage infront of the photo to symbolise what it once was and how far you progress since then You can even do it for machines you'd gonna update, like if you gonna build a better forge. You can place the old construct in the museum or just a photo to show how much you had progress

When making the elevator shaft you could have used the Wand of Symmetry in create. It may be useful in future builds! Great videos!

awesome video! an optional ajustment for your contraption: in stead of torches use redstone blocks. it will make it a bit slower, but when your going trough lava pools, your toches wont wash away

Nifty trick you can use to double the speed on a line of big waterwheels unless they changed it. Add a small on on one end. The rest will speed up to match it. You get the small ones speed without a gear up.

A Recommendation you should be able to use Drawers on the contraprion with void upgrades / storage upgrades it should be able to run a lot further without backlogging on deepslate / cobble and if you give it a chunk loader it should work even if its too far away from you, could see if a waystone from the waysstones mod works on the contraption could also set up a redstone link to try stopping it if it gets too far?

Fun fact: Before mining elevators were invented, minors would go down on something called a "man engine". Basically it was a pair beams that would be pulled up and down 3 feet by a water wheel. Every 6 feet there would be a platform/step, so when one beam was pulled down and the other was pushed up the steps would line up, and you could step from one beam to the other. Basically, it's like the IRL version of a 2 block wide piston elevator, and it was exactly as dangerous as it sounds, though less dangerous than ladders surprisingly

Create is actually one of the best mods for Minecraft when it comes to automation and such. The only thing i whould like to be added, is electricity similar to Immersive Engineering so that you can use the water wheels to make eletricity to power lamps or furnaces, etc.

Your tunnel bore is missing the ability to patch holes in the walls/ceiling. If you hit a patch of gravel, or water, it's gonna bring everything to a screeching halt. Something I also recommend is the ability for it to place torches. Assuming you do all of this, you can just sit on the back of it and go afk for the most part.

@MrBeardstone Understandable, of course! This is just all something I did when I played modded a while back. Basically slap a bunch of deployers in the front of the drills, and where the walls are. Give them cobble/deepslate. If you're gonna do this tho, maybe expand the drill's size for bigger tunnels.

You don't need a bunch of deployers the drill is immune to water courant and lava I recommend a deployer that put redstone block underneath the rail (and a drill with all the drills that dig this place before+ one that take back the redstone block) That way there is no problem even though a cave I hope my English is understandable 😅 Have a good day ^^

For the drill you need to put deployers on the top and sides and then lanterns or torches deployers on the walls that you're putting down if they aren't there so you don't have mobs spawn in all in your mines

Placing deployers on behind the drill will help you not burn to death
