Awesome video. Quick question on the sink drainage.. Have you had issues with the drainasaur being able to handle small amounts of grain, etc or have you made sure the only thing going into the sink is 100% water? Otherwise, how have you been cleaning out the MLT?
@BrewCabin2 жыл бұрын
I've had clogs. But it has a small filter built in I just had to clean out. Took 2 seconds. I don't through a ton of grain or hops down there. I dump that stuff in the yard. Little bits here and there are OK though. I clean the MLT by scooping out the grains into bucket and dump it in the compost. Then, I spray down the inside of the mash tun and let it drain into a bucket. I dump that bucket into the yard as well. Works pretty well without lifting the heavy mash tun.
@FermentationAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Not sure is someone else asked, but how is your drain pump vented? I had a similar installed in my basement, and they plumber just vented into the basement, which means I get smelly gases back into the basement when I fill it up. From what I understand now it should be vented into the plumping stack to the roof. What did your guy do? I see it just goes thru the wall there.
@BrewCabin3 жыл бұрын
It’s vented out the side of the brewery. The pump is right next to an outside wall.
