if you make a ocean map for these boats, you should totally add the ability to scrape against walls or ocean floor, or even into another ship which can make it sink by also activating the explosive core.

I just literally begun thinking about making a torpedo computer to target automatically a ship and then i saw this. My motivation has increased 1000%. Absolutely love it

Some time ago, I was trying to build a battleship with functioning big guns, submarines..., on Gamecraft (which now, is discontinued), and somethimg I really wanted there was a way to have a way to spawn in a set of blocks, like copy and paste; the idea would be to be able to reload shells and torpedoes, but I'm not sure it would be possible in scrap mechanic.

I want to say Kan, that was a great series of events when Kosmo came in. You flew in, delta with the AA, dropped a good torpedo, returned to your carrier, and made a beautiful landing for refit. Very nice! And great job Kosmo for the strategic torpedo on the stern to cripple Kan's AA. Love watching you and Kosmo hang out. When are we going to get a chance to see the RC drift content?

If you plan on making more ships, i’d recommend trying to make a destroyer next. If you are gonna have subs, you are gonna need something to combat them, and destroyers were made for that task. Plus, having a weaker, but faster ship that can launch large volleys of torpedoes is a good addition to the navy of boats you are trying to build.

I'm looking forward to seeing the full navy. It'd be awesome if we could get naval teams of kAN and other creators fighting with the navy in a massive battle. Don't know if scrap mechanic would like that though.

You should add some seats on the sides of the ship to make it easier to board when you're trying to get back on.

When you do battleships, cruisers, destroyers, etc, instead of lining the whole hull with explosives, build magazines under the gun with explosives, so you have to hit the magazine to get a kill.

You can try From The Depths. It focusses on building ships and You can even command entire fleet. Unfortunately it also has a very steep learning curve.

very sweet, i would use the block seat for the planes just cus they are easy to get in to and enable you to make very small vehicles. also how about using the RAFT surv. map for naval battles would that work or is it to laggy?

Kan. You really need to play From the Depths. It's basically an entire game designed around what you're trying to do here, so it has more depth, and you can build WAY more complicated ships, with more complicated programming, if you want to. I'd love to see what kind of nonsense you could make in that game.

Your intuition is correct. The real-life physics don't agree with what you see in game. Speed (Velocity) can be converted to torque, and vice versa. Your testing was commendable, but you have some unknown factors you are dealing with, surface traction, tire stickiness, weight distribution. One thing that could give you a better result is design a hitch that maintains the attitude of the vehicle, no front end lift. What your testing indicates is that there is no loss of torque when you increase speed. Run with that, gear that stuff up. Can you call it the glitch transmission?

You should make a patrol boat next. The rule with the patrol boat should be if you don't know where the boat is you have to look for it and you can't ask the opponent where it is because that's not how battleship is played.

With certain ships like a battleship, put explosives at critical areas ( Like under the naval guns, or near the engine room ) and add flares for the heavy bombers ( Make it the team detector or whatever it was ) and maybe add sea to air or a anti ship rocket

I recommend watching the series “Battle 360” to get a true idea of what life was like on US carriers in WWII. Specifically, the legendary USS Enterprise CV-6 herself. It can be quite emotional at times… especially when they recount times the Big E was hit.
