That tent idea was exellent! Tips for winter camping sleeping: That sleeping bag is not meant for winter, too flimsy, thin and wide. Get yourself a couple or even three pairs of knitted woolen socks and don’t use your boots inside the sleeping bag. The rubber of your boots gets cold and frozen and you have your feet ”in a freezer”. Your body heats up your feet if you can move them freely. It would also be good to have a good layer of snow on the ground under your mattress to work as an insulation against coldness of the ground. And with a good sleeping bag that snow won’t melt from under you. I for sure would be watching if you do more this kind of videos, love these long ones. ❤
@A83-A83 Жыл бұрын
One of those blankets that repels water on one side and is like a blanket on top would work great for that. And a sleeping bag liner could also keep one warmer. Ive used the blanket idea before camping and it kept all the stuff from the moisture underneath so we were warm and cozy. Then day time id dry it all out and air it out then set it up later at night time.
@ryanwaltos2206 Жыл бұрын
Straw or cardboard under the tent or Sleeping bag for simple insulation. They make down filled slippers/ booties just for this
@paulinewood9618 Жыл бұрын
I thought thought that breathing inside your sleeping bag creates humidity which makes you cold. Also, leave an air hole at your door for the same reason, it should stop the dripping inside your shelter. Provided you have done a proper sleeping bag and wool sweater under you jacket - even with your wool jacket you will find that you should not be cold. Try it.

LOL I love you channel. You should make a cattle panel/hog wire fencing and recycle vinyl, tarp or canvas Hoop hot tent shelter. People make hoop chicken coups and think they are a new concept. But when I was young we were migrant workers. We couldnt afford store bought tents. We recycled old torn army tents and canvas from the army resale shop. My mom made large canvas traps, sleeping bags and blankets out of them. For normal and moderate bad weather they were rain, snow and wind and some what preditor proof shelters that housed the whole family with a functional portable kitcen and portable army wood burning stoves. I was young it and was an adventure for me. Seems the world is turning back to those wood burning no electricity days again. I love it. We are playing a family reunion where all of our tents will be homemade hoop tents. We are not ashamed of where we came from. oror

59:16 to keep your feet warm longer - take boots off, and wrap it together, with a towel or some kind of thermal bag. When limbs are thermally separated, they cool down faster than they in contact and warming eachother. You can easily check this by comparing one hand wearing glove(with all fingers separate) and other hand wearing a mitten (with only thumb or thumb and forefinger separate) 1:08:10 to warm your pizza (not heat up, unfortunately) - hold it for 15-20min in a pocket close to the body (over undewear or T-shirt, but under warm clothes). Same way you can save a water bottle from freezing. 1:10:08 Good A-frame for a tent is an equilateral tryagle, made of two rigid side-sticks, connected by a long freight strap at bottom and strap ring at top. Through the top ring, you can connect tryangle frames with a top beam (made of $2 broom handle, for example) 1:11:20 instant window in a tent Great experiment.👍🏼

As I popped the cap off the battery, a tiny drop flipped into my eye. I immediately ran to the hose and began rinsing my eye. The ice cold water felt wonderful, until chunks of ice blew out and hit me right in the open eye. Fortunately, there was no long-term damage.
