Hope you've enjoyed the hobbyist, comedy robotics, figure like robotics that you may have just witnessed, i'll let you decide that.
Recently companies like figure (robotics) have shown off robots capable of speech, vision and even controlled movement. Their goal is to get these robots into the workforce, but what if instead, we made them our friends, who needs human friends when you can just build them!
The design uses some 3D printing, electronics and OpenAIs various APIs to function, the vision stuff was a real hard, but I got it working in the end. Basically, this robot uses a version of ChatGPT to think.

Nice project! I recently 'embodied' Anthropics Claude LLM into an old turtlebot2 robot. For the price and performance, Claude Haiku is a steal for a project like this. It has vision and it is sooooo much cheaper than gpt-4-turbo with vision. Gpt-3 level prices, near gpt-4 cognition, and *amazingly fast*!

Great video in all aspects. I'm not a huge fan of Claude since other LLMs have come out, especially from Mistral. As long as you don't need a large context window, 8x7b run locally will exceed expectations for most things.

At first I thought about making a LLM, but I need some serious computation for that which sadly i dont have (yet... heheh), I just used OpenAIs stuff, the company behind chatGPT. If you go on their website theres a bucnh of code snippets, they are a good place to start

@@Robotcus so bascially you have kind of used their API for the understanding of the language using their llm ( correct me If I am wrong ) I am just learning by watching your videos , could you help me out understanding the technology like gen AI as well as robotics and ml only if possible , thank you for responding!! hehe
@Robotcus
@Robotcus Ай бұрын
@@lakshyakumarpandey382 Yes, thats exactly what ive done. LLMs are super heavy to train, but once trained can make their decisions really quickly. OpenAIs are very much general purpose, meaning they are big boy models, thats what makes the output so adaptable! TRaning something that adaptable is out of reach for poeple like you and me, but I do wonder if the computation could be reduced by reducing the potential converstaions it could have? E.G, something thats really good at recognishing fruits, you could use OPenAI for that, I probably will, but I think forming a LLM very good at that specific thing si very possible, the robotics etc is all CAD and electronics though sadly, no easy way to do that stuff lol

I've got an Inmoov i2 head hooked up to a Jetson Orin Nano running a bot who's eyes move to follow your face, and uses OpenAI's TTS like Figure 01. It is the coolest project I've ever done. Next is setting up the arm to interact with humans, training the шнiт out of it with Isaac Sim for human-like behavior. Oh, and it has a full body female skin cast in silicone. That's right, I'm solving the loneliness epidemic with 6ft8in tall android waifus. Ez gg. Don't worry, since I'm asexual, my Android's in a safe place. My room mates are terrified of it though. Just looks around at them. *Ominous whirring of servos at odd hours of the night*
