It's crazy to think 2 years ago when I started watching I knew nothing about cars, not a single thing. And today I've done a front suspension swap and resurrected a 2.0 ford from the 2000s with parts from the 90s, learn when a job is out of my scope by gutting an automatic transmission. And now when someone open a hood, I know what I am watching. Matt, Thanks for being a role model for the lost souls of the internet.

Rippin' around in a car is a blast!! Bought a '70 Impala for $75 and we had $1,000,000 worth of fun with it. We'd take it outside of town, get going backwards about 10-15 MPH, then slam it in low and floor it........we'd be going backwards smokin' a tire. Sold the motor to one guy and gave the transmission to one of my friends. Scrapped the body. Got more out of it than I paid!!

My first car when I started college and got engaged was “drum roll please” a 97 Crown Vic from Roy UT! It was originally in their police dept and was owned by a former cop. It had been well maintained and was in great shape and it was all mine for $1,800 😁 I took a bus from Rexburg ID and met them in a mall parking lot fully prepared to take a bus back as I hadn’t seen a single picture of it and was going on the owner’s word. It was better then I imagined and ran like a top all the way up I-15, even hitting 125 mph briefly without a complaint (a top speed PR for this college Freshman). My wife and I took it on our honeymoon and it served us flawlessly until we moved into our first little house together that was heated with a wood stove and we sold it to get something that could haul firewood. I loved that Crown Vic from Roy and it warms my heart to see you play with yours. I should get another one! 😂

There is no such thing as a well maintained ex cop car. Years ago I was the mechanic in Roy city for a while. What would I know.

@@SPUDHOME 😂 relatively speaking I suppose. I don’t remember the details but this cop had picked this one because it was in better shape than most. Had about 130k miles on it. Interior and exterior were cleaner than almost any other cheap car I’ve owned. It was all white, paint was all in great shape. But I hear you, most cop cars get brought into the shop when they quit running or become undriveable. I bought this one back in spring of 2008, to get a 10 year old car in that good of shape for that price was awesome. It needed no notable repairs in all the time I owned it.

Tom Tom leaving is just another testament to the kind of guy Matt is. He builds people up, equips them with knowledge, experience, and exposure, and then sends them on their way to whatever future they want to follow. He is one of the internet dads to aspire to.

But at the very least judging by the numbers on their pages you can see that one is starting his journey of creating content (80k subs), while the other is already more established with literally years worth of experience and videos (1.7m subs). Add on top of that the fact that Matt brought in his friend Tomtom to his channel a few years ago, and you can see what this commenter meant. The good guy that he is, he visibly and officially gave his blessing to Tomtom's exit and did his part to steer some views his way. Stop being cynical.

@@Ashod00 Tom’s leaving is very different than 90% of the others. I agree this definitely seems amicable and I don’t see any issues. Same with Lizzy, but she was the very first to get a good sent off. 6+ others had previously disappeared without a word. In many cases they are never spoken about again and even cut out of archived footage they replay of a tow. Tom is only the second to get a proper send off. In some cases the story did come out and it wasn’t good on MORRs part.Its been corroborated by multiple parties directly involved or in the know. So there was ample evidence and it wasn’t just speculation or being cynical. There was always one common denominator. It’s mostly been one bad actor that has caused most of the issues. Theyve been there from very early on and are still there. However, less and less on camera because enough people know what they’ve done and/or just don’t like their personality. It’s like a company that has a bad manager and upper management is either blind to it or buries their head in the sand about the chaos they create. Sometimes they do eventually figure it out, but it can take years. Unfortunately many good people are usually left in the wake of the chaos they create.

The flashing tire light just means you have a dead TPMS sensor. It'll flash for 30-90 seconds when starting the vehicle everytime, then stay solid.

That's something I used to do that in the fields any Orchards back in the mid-60s I had a 53 Chevy Bel Air. I used to race it around the Orchards and make it fly on the house what sideways almost went down into the river. I was a teenager not old enough to have a license but I drove everywhere. So many memories! Such fun. Forty years ago my buddies and I used to do the same with our rides. I had a '66 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible, 390 powered and ran the sand dunes and beaches of Cape Cod and every dirt road around Dukes of Hazard style. I travelled in a very tired looking Crown Victoria taxi in Galveston a few years back. En route to the airport, I noticed that it had two, small calibre bullet holes in the drivers 'A' pillar, another through the dash, a cracked windshield and a badly torn seat. My mother still has the family 2000 Honda Odyssey and I'm doing everything I can to convince her to keep it and I may end up buying it to keep it around. It's a fully loaded one dad bought new in 2000. The automatic door actuators crapped out several years ago and wound up cutting the cables to make them regular slide doors. Nothing wrong with the minivan at all, solid dependable vehicle and pinnacle of Honda. Other than the low ground clearance, it is a fantastic vehicle and I really want it to stay in the family. My daily is a 2002 Ford E-350 extended cargo that I am driving till it disintegrates.@@brassmule

Hi team! Just a little friendly info on putting injector cleaner in the tank. Always change the fuel filter first (if it has one) this ford has a fuel filter. The reason " if the filter is dirty the injector cleaner will break up the contaminants in the filter and send it right into the injectors!"

NOOOOOOO Tom! I love you being part of Matts off-road !whenever I feel settled in, the whole cast changes up. I have been watching your content as well but I love the vibe that Matts channel has when you are part of it. I get it though, you want to do your own thing and you CAN do your own thing. I am in the same place with my job, I absolutely love the people I work for I stopped doing my own thing to work with them for a couple years and it has been good but I really just want to do my own thing again. in my case they aren't being cool about it, they are acting like I am screwing them over because I am the only one who can do a lot of things in their company , I probably would have left 6 months ago if it weren't for that guilting so my respect to Matt for not holding you back.

If you can get to the injector with a long screwdriver, put the tip of the screwdriver against the body of the injector and put the end of the handle firmly against your ear. You can hear the injector ticking through the screwdriver. Compare against the other injectors to see what it's suppose to sound like. The screwdriver trick works on fuel pumps and other things too.
