Those nanocarbon blacks are so bloody hard to make work! I like your idea of it gradually rubbing off though; good way to turn a weakness into a feature!

Yeah I fell into the Black Marauder rabbit hole thanks to Big Red-40Techs and Science Insanity's Lore videos on it. But thanks to them I found out that someone actually made the Black Marauder in MW5! It's a Nexus mod called "Another Pirate Frankenmechs and the Black Marauder". This nightmare of a mech is driving me down a rabbit hole of videos and lead me to yours now.

There are some usage cases for these types of coatings. Mainly to remove internal reflections in optical systems ( think astronomy applications ).

Stuart Semple Black 3.0 is the way to go. Its the closest acrylic you will get to the Vantar stuff. He's even made a 4.0 version that's even more light repelling. Expensive though. Last time i bought it was around $75 US for 150ml bottle.

I play a lot of MegaMek but am not really good at Lore... and now i finaly have a face to the BLACK Marauder that's been my enemy a few times by now. Thanks for that ^^
