Drew. When building your roads, keep in mind the AI randomly picks a sky-scraper to go to, if multiple are available. This means they can pick really long inefficient routes if available through lots of linked roads. If you keep sky-scrapers separated from even their own colour, you generate a guaranteed flow of cars to each sky-scraper and can make sure each house is only going to the closest sky-scraper. 😁

His main problem is not connecting the roads that he made for different colors. Although it increases the time to go to a sky-scraper, it doesn't effects too much when they don't use the roads/crossing that hits to different colours, that much.

Drew. Keep the colors separated even if its the same color. So, If you have four of the same color houses and two of the same color stores, Put two of the houses to the closest store and the other houses to the other store. If you connect all of the same colors to one grid then a house from the other side of the map will go for a pin which will waste time and cause extra traffic where it's not needed. Also, use the shortest route aka don't use 90-degree angles. Avoid 4-way intersections at all costs. Finally, watch "Real Civil Engineers" Mini Motorways Videos. He has some good tips.

I always thought the stores were workplaces (stores) and if there were a lot of customers (pins) and not enough workers (customers) it would make the pepole unhappy and you would be fired. The thing is, that sometimes destinations just sabotage themselves by demanding more than even the cleanest infrastructure can handle simply because there aren’t enough houses to supply the demand. Or at least that’s what I’ve experienced Edit: My theory is sort of backed up by Drew saying: “Is this even enough pinks…” at 10:01
