you can paint car parts with spray cans and get a good job, but the white they used spattered way too much, and they sprayed it on the glass😢 and they didnt distinguish the teeth, making one of the most essential parts disapear
@florianschmoldt8659Ай бұрын
If it's some sort of refurbished pirate punk version, the spray can approach could be a solid start. But your quality build deserved a lot more attention. Masking, scratches, weathering to bring back the beautiful details and highlight the different materials.
@a-sheepof-christ9027Ай бұрын
The splattering is very amatuer and i dont think moondust forms in white blobs either. Could have been a nuanced airbrush job. The helmet deserved more: it was glorious.

For degfoging a simple technique is to use scuba diving defoq spray, spray it, let it sit, spritz with water let air dry dont wipe till then. or use plain no grit nothing fancy .99 store whit etooth paste, wipe on the lens, then clean off, this helps remove any oils that may be lingering that cause your fog to occur, also these are both scuba diving/snorkeling tips used in the real world.

Good job but such a helmet should have a green and a second silver vizier as sunlight protection! Green is the favorite space helmets in classically space comics and pop art, even older Sci-Fi toy´s, windows and windshields are mostly green colored. A combination in comic´s are always using the element colors like red, blue, yellow with a black or white frame. But even dark purple/black interiors in cars, combine with yellow head light glasses and green or dark red colored windows are often used!^^

There's cosplay and then there's functional cosplay, those hidden ventilation spaces and modular components are 100% worth it. (That fact everything just looks and works is just -*chef's kiss*) I just imagine everything were luggage-proof and felt like a breeze for Calaidosphere during the cons. Couple of years ago. I did a budget cosplay of a somewhat realistic take of Gaster from Undertale with cardboard, liquid nail and LED. Did my best to keep it transport-friendly and lightweight, but it was really hard to not get cooked in the Aussie winter/spring where we have our cons. Would love to see you try something on absolute shoestring budget. >:D
