I so agree with you when you were talking about how having a good keyboard actually motivates you to work more. Cause I am a Computer Engineering student now. I know I would have hated the coding part if I dont enjoying typing on a good keyboard.

Watched this on my work break! I can't decide if I want one or not. A few days ago I found a seller who had my dream keyboard I been looking for for years now and they have the keycaps I always wanted with it as well! So I think I am good for a while. I am so happy about it! I can't wait until I have it. I loved the video. I like the idea of you just building it while talking about stuffs. Maybe you could stream different builds on KZbin as well on occasion. I think that would be fun!

And as for the Zoom TKL, i agree with you on price! Talk about it honestly; I think this isn’t an easy price for many people, but per your point: to get this type of board even a year ago I feel like was $250+ at LEAST. The amount they add in lower-prices kits these days… you can go cheaper but you will NOT get this quality of board (plus it’s TKL so you’re paying for the extra width of board. I did purchase mine yesterday(partially thanks to your videos so tell Meletrix)!! All black baby, I actually didn’t go carbon fiber but the black SVD looked so gnarly. Then I bought Cherry MX hyper glide Blacks, 67g TX Long springs, and Keychron’s WOB keycap set (I know, keychron is not the best quality keycap prob, but as long as the mods are straight I’ll be happy). The black on black on black idea had me hype, maybe I’ll buy a Carbon Fiber plate in the future to complete all the black. I’m stoked actually!!! Thanks for the content & info & opinions CG!! Appreciate you

You can do some mods like the tape mod.. or just fill it with medical wrap and it should work.. but honestly just some heavier switches.. these in this video were like gateron reds

CG my guy I personally enjoyed this video style more! You seem a bit more mellow here, maybe sick or just going through life (as we all do!!!!), but either way I enjoy your hands on experience & talking through it. As somebody else said, a streamed build could be cool too, probably difficult to set up unless you have 7 cameras but you could even produce some KZbin content while streaming. Idk, I’m in this hobby for the people as much as the boards.

@cgbuild, really nice build, and love your non-scripted raw thoughts! Hey do you mind sharing if this is the cool grey color or the black? I was super confused with all the amazing color options and ended up ordering the grey one. I don't see many good videos on the grey one, so kind of went blind just looking at their images. I hope it's the grey one you built as it looks pretty sick to me ❤

Hey man! Thanks for the review! Just curious between qk75 and zoom tkl, which do you think has the better sound and typing experience?
@bradyvilhauer44452 жыл бұрын
I’ll let CG chime in, but from the research I’ve done, QK75 seems to be a bit thicker / lower sounding, and Zoom seems to be a bit thinner / higher. Thock vs clack as they say. KZbin isn’t the end-all way to know, but I watched a bunch of QK75 and a bunch of Zoom TKL sound tests in a row and I think what I deduced is true
@marco19978032 жыл бұрын
@@bradyvilhauer4445 damn bro I almost made up my mind to go for Zoom TKL 😭Now I have to reconsider. I watched all available sound test and unboxing video too and it did seem like Zoom TKL is "thinner." But QK75 seems to have a higher pitch in some case no? Anyway big thanks I really appreciate your opinion.
@AustinPegoda2 жыл бұрын
Both are sick boards.. but honestly.. the qk75 is probably my pick.. it seems to handle any switch or plate config better then the zoom TKL.. but with that said.. both are amazing boards.. would not be upset with neither one!

@@marco1997803 it’s interesting, even with my friends sometimes one of us hears a deep sound one one hears a high sound. Maybe they would both sound really good to both of us haha!! I think the way the board is assembled matters most - so if you want light sounds go more for poly fill in the bottom but if you want thocky poppy then stuff all the foams in it. If you get the QK75 we’ll have to build them and then FaceTime to compare 😆😆😆
@ZeldaVStheworld2 жыл бұрын
L Shift is weird on every other sound test i hear. Plus the board is quiet, and thin sounding. I'd have to tape up the cuts on the plate. Aesthetics (side glow, glass back plate, color options) are top notch but sound and potential typing feel seem lacking. I'm going with the QK75 this time around.
@AustinPegoda2 жыл бұрын
I would just say that the switches have a good bit of the reason the sound is “thin”.. if you put some heavier switches then it would sound full.. it’s just these I used are really light weight like I said in the video
@scottwangkl88822 жыл бұрын
Alexotos' config is clacky without being thin. He used Akko vintage whites and he says the board likely needs long poles to help with sound so you can probably experiment with long poles
