I've always considered myself to be more of the off road type but I must admit, between you and another guy I watch with a converted YZ400F, those things look like a blast! The white rims look sweet but personally I think blue would look viscous. You have a new subscriber. Keep on keeping on.

@anthonycurtiskeller fun can be Perceived in many different ways by many different people. Supermotos are great, if they could be made Slightly more offroad friendly they would be even better. Ya Know for guys who live in cities and only ride the roads than absolutely but I’d never in a million years make my only bike a sumo, if I had 3 than it would be different

If you wanna throw a cuple hundred bucks at it, you can put the Rally brake rotors on it. I've done that and gives the bike really the bite it needs for street use. Super easy just the OEM rally rotor and the bracket.

To be honest I think the concept of a CRF300L Supermoto fits it really well, considering the engine. Honda ripped the engine from the CBR300R, and I think it suits it better for on road use. I have a 300L personally, and I think its much more fun to go on the streets with it than the dirt (compacted trails are fine to ride on, loose dirt, gravel, sand, and mud are really hard to control the bike on) , especially considering the stock tires are made mostly for the street, but only 20% or 30% off road. The way I see it, if you own the bike, you have 2 options: 1. Make it for the street only (Supermoto tires) 2. Get "motocross" tires with DOT approval and make it more for offroad (because if you're taking it on the trails with the stock tires and you encounter sand or mud, good luck to you!) Honestly the bike is a blast if you use it the way it's intended, which is for trails and mostly on road usage. You can put it through most things, it still will run no matter what. For on road commuting, get this bike For compacted, scenic trail riding, get this bike (or the rally counterpart) For beginner riders, this bike is a possible option Do NOT get this bike for dune/sand riding, or going into the gravel or mud (more stable at higher speeds in the sand only, but mostly just wants to sink into the sand and get stuck at lower speeds, more so with the rally because the normal 300L is ~310 lbs without a rider on it and the rally is ~335 without a rider. definetely on the lighter side for dual sports, but still heavy)

Yeah I think you need to practice your knee-scraping. That thing should be a beast now. The IRCs would be fine for the cornering you were doing there. I had my IRCs scuffed up all the way to the edge before I replaced them with D606 for the mud and sand we have here.
