I Built The Krusty Krab For My Cats

I made a Krusty Krab cat bed for my cats. If you love SpongeBob SquarePants, Mr. Krabs, the whole Bikini Bottom nightlife, or maybe you would just like to see me make something for my cats, either way I hope you guys enjoy watching me build the Krusty Krab! I like customizing things and turning them EVIL, it's kind of my thing. In fact I have quite a few series where I do some cheap diys that end up looking pretty chaotic. Just a tip for the roof if you want to work with curved cardboard, basically you know how you ripped that bit under the window and it showed the grooves? If you take an intact piece of cardboard, and score over the grooves, just where it dips and only cutting through the top bit of the cardboard it allows it to be flexible 😊

Tootsie actually prefers jumping in the toilet. It seems they don't mind water as long as it's on their own terms 😂

A lot of wild cats love the water. Tigers do. It's just that in general MOST cats hate water.

All animals love water. It's just how heavy their fur is. Any animal without fur loves water and animals with fur often hate it (unless their fur isn't thick and/or heavy)

Tootsie 'sucking' on things is a comfort for cats! It mimics nursing and soothes them. A few of my cats do it and although it can be annoying its very sweet. :]

I have a 70 lb dog who does the same. It's kind of cute except he does it to my bedding which means I have a chance of laying down to find a warm moist spot on my bed..

@@m.w.5972 He was a month and a few days old when we got him I believe. He had been weaned a little early as a pup which I think was part of the issue. We didn't know exactly how old he was or anything until we got him and were told his birthday later but he was completely healthy and no issues aside from the suckling.

@@lacytaylor1501 A little over a month is wayyyy too young for a puppy, they should stay with their mom for at least 3 months to be socialized fine so there's where the suckling comes from!

For the future, great windows in these sort of things are the clear plastic of packages. It cuts down super easy and you can attack it between two pieces of cardboard to the house.

This project is perfect for your kitties! They get the BEST napping spot and I mean, who doesn't like SpongeBob!?! I've tried this before, it's NOT easy so I am very impressed with the results!!

I recently was bored and had some delivery boxes laying around so i made a car for my niece one of those with arm straps and a hole in the bottom so she can wear it and walk around pretending to drive it. The best bit was she seemed to have as much fun pkaying in it as i did making it lol. Im glad your cats were sitting in it etc and not ignoring it completely.

Aww~ look at the kitties~ Love how the Krusty Krab bed turned out. I could never have the patience to make something like that. The tiny cardboard castle in my drawer could back me up on that, lol. Also, tip from Bentley House Minis: You can make cardboard curve more easily if you make shallow vertical cuts along the cardboard. Emphasis on shallow cuts, because cutting all the way through would just give you more and smaller pieces of cardboard.

From what I could find, the nautical flags on the Krusty Krab spell out R I 0 U K. The middle "flag" being a zero. Don' t know if it means anything in the Spongebob universe or not though. Love the "house" for them though. Looks nice and cozy for them.

Absolutely awesome i love how much they enjoy the homemade cat house bed and its one of a kind. I can't do this for my cats as mine eats cardboard lol 😂 Tip for acrylic: score it very lightly with a plastic cutter(its available at home Depot) and the snap the edge off the side of a table(wear protective gloves and goggles for this and you'll get a cleaner edge. Just so you can retry that and replace the Windows later.
