I Built SpongeBob's House For My Cats

This week, I built SpongeBob's house from Bikini Bottom for my cats!

Previously I built the Krusty Krab for my cats & they LOVED it so today I made Spongebob's house as a cat bed for my cats. They're really starting to settle into Bikini Bottom, though they do seem a little suspicious of their new pineapple house. If you love SpongeBob SquarePants, Mr. Krabs, the whole Bikini Bottom nightlife, or maybe you would just like to see me make something for my cats, either way I hope you guys enjoy watching me build Spongebob's house! I have quite a few series where I do some cheap diys or build stuff that ends up looking pretty chaotic. I love this and it's always great to see you do something for your pawed and judging overlords. If you ever decide to go for luxury and decadence,, reinforcing the corners with duct tape helps stability and gives their claws less starting ground

For projects like this when you can glue hot glue sticks together with a small dot of hot glue to make longer sticks so you can refill less.

I built a car from the movie Grease out of cardboard for a local theatre company. Hot glue failed to hold up so I constructed the pieces using zip ties from the dollar store. Very sturdy!

Tip for gessoing: pour it out and add a little (just a little) water, the stuff you're using is a little too thick and that's why it was so painful getting smooth coverage

For your next cardboard house you should go to your grocery store and ask them for any boxes they are done with. I work in a grocery store and we empty a LOT of boxes everyday.

I bought my cats a cardboard house and one thing I worry about with yours is the paint. Maybe keep an eye on your houses because some cats like to chew on cardboard. Mine do. If Sniffledorf and Tootmeister don't, no problem. just keep an eye out for the next project
