I am building a very similar main storage, but, I like using building trains (loading a train full of resources for a build) so with mine I’m planning to have a train that can park right in the middle on a spiral from below or above (haven’t decided where the storage building is going) to park in the middle so I can go around and fill it with items by hand, I know I could do it with train stations but I like doing it by hand, I gotta say your storage looks amazing, definitely gonna steal a few things off yours for mine lol

Why have a storage room when we can now have all our resources available thanks to the dimensional chest ?
@SirsCrab3 ай бұрын
Because they only upload a certain number of items a min. and I usually need more. and if I forget a large number of like 3 specific items I don't have to jump around the map to different factories. its all in one place.
@Mylouz423 ай бұрын
@@SirsCrab In reality, there is no limit to how much each resource can fill this storage. You just need to use several for each one that is frequently consumed by your blueprints. Getting 1200 concrete per minute is doable !
@JasonEllingsworth3 ай бұрын
@Mylouz42 yeah i only have my automated resources using 3 dimensional depots each, and i have zero reason to store lots of items in a central location. I just don't run out when building. Even when I'm filling containers on temporary machines to make computers or something before i get to automating them, i just pull the required items from my dimensional inventory and it refills quick, and then those computers automatically get uploaded back to my inventory as they are built. Doing this allowed me to build a train network before automating computers

Granted I had a head start cause in-between my last playthrough and 1.0 all I did was build for fun and mess around. I don't know your prosess or how you learn but what I did was take screenshots and found images of people's factories and compiled them using pure ref, so they were all in one place and easily looked at. The simple answer without getting into the math is: I use a lot of resources. There are only 200 dimensional depots available. That's not enough item upload for me. So I store everything in one place to make it easily accessible so I don't have to run around the map every time I forget one or two items.
@wittyharp28693 ай бұрын
@@SirsCrab do you feel like getting into the math? because it still doesn't make any sense. you do not need all 200 resources to build, you can put multiple depots on the same item and you can get 240/min with just one. there's very little out there that you'll need more than 240/min on. unless you're using mods to drop whole factories at once of course

Thats the beauty of Satisfactory. Your factory doesn’t have to make any sense to anyone else except you.
@oaxacenio2 ай бұрын
Late game factories use thousands of concrete, Quartz crystals, steel, etc. Having a central storage on top of your dimensional depot helps with quickly grabbing items when the dimdepo is empty and not uploading fast enough
@ViktorDelvito2 ай бұрын
