Looks great! Even though this video focuses on just one building, I would love to see a brief overview of the entire city layout at the end. It would be a nice reminder of what the city looks like over all, and you could talk about where you envision placing the building. Great work, can't wait for the next video!

Tune in to the next part 😉 (or check out the previous vids). The problem now is that the layout is a huge mess at the moment lol.

Love the planter solution for the second floor! I wasn’t completely sold until the vines went in but they fit perfectly. You could add some planters to the back alley overhang and run some vines back there as well, like a New Orleans kind of feel. Great build so far, excited for the next vid.
@rebricks Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’ll definitely be adding more greenery, but I think I’m going to finish the roof and place it before doing much more of it, because how it fits and what it’s next to will affect the placement. I was thinking of hanging lanterns or something in the alley but we’ll see! Thanks for the suggestion!

I wasn't planning on falling down a rabbit hole of watching people building lego, but I have and it's very relaxing although I am starting to feel the itch to build some myself, which is kind of a terrible thing when you don't actually own a single piece of it 😂😅 Anyway, I've been binging lego videos lately and I've watched almost every single of your videos today and I've really enjoyed watching your city come together 😊

The building is looking great and I love the foliage! I’m curious how the design on the sidewalk would look turned 45 degrees (so it’s aligned with the corner).
@rebricks Жыл бұрын
Yeah I included that from the original, but I’m planning to make the sidewalk more elaborate in front of the building in the next episode. I’ll try rotating it. Thanks for the suggestion!

After this amazing project maybe you should try building a restaurant with live music performances with the jazz Club set? Just a random thought that came to my mind
@rebricks Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the idea! I am actually thinking of putting the Jazz Club next to the bookshop (once I get it). I probably won't modify it for awhile other than the sidewalk, but I just want to get more buildings in the layout faster.

Try some green hot dogs to get the foliage to wrap round. That or just replace some of the snot half-round bricks with stud bricks and obscure them with foliage.

Love the foilage. - one tiny thing that always annoy me when i see foilage used. - “where does it start” - it has to start in a planter or in the Ground. You dont really have foilage just hanging out with no roots, - so i always try to make it “grow from somewhere”
@rebricks Жыл бұрын
Even ivy on buildings? In my head, it does start from the window box and grow up and down the building.

so cool! I built a lot of modulars but never able to build my own, i wonder why
@rebricks Жыл бұрын
You should just go for it and try! It’s easier if you have parts, that’s why I dismantled every set I had before starting this channel 🫠😵💫

@@rebricks problem is I like the default model too so it's hard for me to do that unless I buy 2x modulars every time XD. LEGO is getting expensive nowadays

You should consider using mils plate. It’s easier doing it one building at a time instead of converting your whole town later
@rebricks Жыл бұрын
I sort of do mils. It’s plates on top of one layer of brick and the baseplate. I just don’t necessarily do it so that buildings are divided evenly into 16x32 or 32x32 sections. This particular building is actually on 4 16x16 plates though. Next episode I’ll be putting it into the layout on all the bricks. Modularity isn’t really a huge deal for me at the moment. I don’t plan on moving any of it 😬.
