Put a couple outriggers for extra floatation and stability and you can even add a couple little water tanks in each. Make them detachable for easy transportation.

You should really have a tiny inflatable life raft, it’s always smart to have one whenever you’re able to carry one on the ocean, in a vessel.

You could add pvc pontoons off either side and racks on them with storage compartments sitting over them. Would make it more stable and somewhere too put the lobster traps or anything else out if the way

If you added a weighted keel to the bottom of the boat it would probably be enough to keep it steady without taking to much away from the looks, the only thing is you’d lose shallow water capability.

YOU NEED SOME DROP DOWN CATAMARAN STYLE SMALL PONTOONS... Here me out!! Get 2 mid sized boat bumpers. Fix them to a scissor arm that will lock it into place once lowered (something with a rope attached so you can pull on the locking mechanism to release it and pull it up to lock up for travel). Mount these say 2 feet from the stern of the boat. Now when you want to stand you just drop the bumpers, lock into place and viola, you have a stable boat. I would say make the arms 2 foot long which will give you an additional 4 feet of stabilization. This is only when you are anchored or free floating... I think it is worth the try, cant hurt. And when they are in the up position, it just looks like you have dock bumpers attached to the side of the boat. Rockstar!!!!!

Wow I recognized the boat ramp by the stone building, which was a lime stone kiln that processed limestone into limestone mortar to construct stone, brick ,houses. What a weird coincidence that I picked a video on KZbin and recognized the harbor. It's beautiful up there. I travel the kennebec river quite frequently in the summer and go camping. Great place to live , Maine is awesome. Have a great winter and spring will be here soon Shane, Chelsea, ME

58:00 some use this method to let the bones in the fish to dissolve over time. Dont know the time line of that but I have tasted fish with lots of bones, treated this way and the bones could not be noticed. Ingredients 8 drained herring fillets Law 0.5 dl vinegar 1 dl caster sugar 2 dl water Seasoning 3 red onions 1 orange 1 tbsp ground allspice 2 bay leaves 0.5 leek (the green) Bring the vinegar mixture to a boil and let cool. Cut the herring into cm-sized slices and place them in a mold or bowl. Pour the mixture over the herring. Cut the onion and orange into slices, finely chop the leek. Sprinkle the onion and orange slices over the herring. Add allspice and bay leaves. Pour everything into glass jars.

Okay so there a couple ways that you could improve the stability of this boat... as i have been reading a couple outriggers would work out great and they wouldn't even have to be that big... take either 4 or even better 6 inch PVC and put a cap on the stern of it and then clamp the nose shut as you heat it and seal with PVC glue.... that way even if you leave them down they are hydro-dynamic and will cut through the water... the other option that you could do would be to add a dagger board similar to a dingy but put a large torpedo weight on it that way you can still use the flat bed trailer. with the added buoyancy of the outriggers (6 inchesx8feet gives you just shy of 100# (98#) of displacement per outrigger) you could easily add 100 or 150# of lead 4' below the boat that would dramatically improve stability and then also bring the larger Jakery power. also your stability increases the further out you put the outriggers so even if you only put them 3' out on each side you are adding 6' to your beam. which makes for a dramatically stabler platform. Please let me know if you like these ideas or the combination of ideas. would love to collaborate on design ideas.

Perhaps on your next boat build, you can mount a piece of PVC pipe that is on the inside, but goes out through the side of the boat, then down into the water, with a few holes in the bottom of the pipe at water level, this will be the pipe that you can relieve yourself when you have to take a tinkle. 😎👍

Something to help with the stability you might try is to put a hinge on the side of the boat with a float that you can lower in the water like a pontine. what do you think? Just a thought.

Clicked to watch the tiny houseboat and was glad I did because it's nice to see someone still praying without shame. God will be blessing you soon if he hasn't already. I am a believer and have accepted the Lord as my savior when I was five years old. I have not always lived as a Christian should but am now fifty-eight and I can say that throughout my life I have been forgiven many times and blessed many times. One thing that has always been with me is a feeling of the Holy Spirit flowing through me when I hear or see someone that God is blessing or is going to bless in their life. My mother always said I was an empath or sensitive to others, but I don't think it has anything to do with me. I enjoyed your video and just wanted you to know.

You could put a wired camera on the bow of the boat up top and run it to a mini LCD screen to the interior that way you don't have to stand up to steer. Plus it would allow you to drive around with boat closed up. I also agree with the others on the small foldable pontoons. It would make it a lot more stable.

Make a dowel insert that extends a little before your bend, and pour it in the pvc pipe. when it gets a little pliable place it in your jig and pour out the sand, let it cool and you won't get kinks .

You should have extended floats out under your back deck like dual 5 gallon buckets with the airtight gamma lids or a standard lid with epoxy to seal them. It should provide enough floatation to allow you to stand out on it. Also a u bolt over your pvc windless just at the end of the split in the pipe so if you get into serious wind it won’t tear off the anchor line off the bow of the boat.

yacht club member here. i can confirm. no one has seen one of these. You need a weighted keel. a hatch forward in case you do flip. And any other engine.

I think a good addition to the build is to put some type of stabilizers on each side kinda like. What they use on ocean canoes like a arm with float

I'm watching the entire episode as always! I really want one of your paintings for my fishing camp in Bridgton! PS, you should name it the SS Squid Nipple :)

Bifold door up top so you can stand comfortably with rubber stripping to seal edges from rain when closed. And put the pots on top.

Oh my word I’ve been trying to find your channel again I used to binge your content one of my favorite videos was when you went to the Canadian …Everglades? Where you had to build a tree fort due to bears. Probably four-5 years now (edit, Canadian Rockies)

I hate to say it but two pontoons "which i have seen many house boats on would make a ton of difference for stabilizing! Plus I love the Claw. Cheers G

You could add some buoyancy boxes under the deck in the back to give you a little more float-ability in the rear end
