Having the voice over is a must. I won’t watch videos where you just watch someone work and there’s no explanation about what they are doing. I learn so much listening to good woodworkers. Some of the little tips I’ve seen have made so many things much easier than the way I was doing it. In short, keep talking! And more build videos! Thanks

Very nice build, Jason~! White Oak with that clear finish...love it~! I'll definitely get some India ink to try on future projects. As for the voice over question, it depends on the build (for me). If it's a pretty straight-forward, no frills build, then shop sounds are great. If there are nuances that are enhanced by some vocal description, then great. (perfect on the fence position there, huh?) ;-) I agree with you on the Shaper Origin. I picked mine up this year during their Spring promotion and this thing is AMAZING~! I'd seen it for a few years online and after a hands-on demo at a tool store, I was hooked. I was trying to choose which CNC to go with, but my projects are more one-off than a bunch of batched out repeats, so it seemed the perfect choice for my shop. And yes, I really enjoy your build videos. More please~!

Pretty sure a Pepsi on a Jubilee will be the next watch I get but that won’t be for a while. I have some others like Tudor, Omega, Ball, Oris, Mido, Tissot and various other micro brand watches. Honestly everything slowed down after buying the Rolex. I wear them 90% of the time. The other 10% is the Tudor or Omega.

I have a question. I like your technique of using a stretching board on the inside of your panel glue ups to avoid toe in from the exterior clamps. But do you know if anyone makes an adjustable reverse clamps so you don’t have to cut up more stock ? I suppose there might be several reasons you’re using internal boards to push back instead of squaring clamps. This might not be a good idea. It just popped in my mind while watching. And I vote for keeping the voice overs, because you offer the reasons for doing it a particular way, and that is valued. 😊

If you want white oak, hickory, maple to look raw you have to try Osmo Polyx in Raw!!! Nothing compares to it and it can be easily finished down the road. I prefer voice over, I enjoy hearing what it is you’re doing although the majority of it I already have done myself minus the fancier tools like festool domino (Not hating!) but I just enjoy the commentary! I do hate when someone stops and films themselves talking making us wait to observe what it is they’re overly describing, hence why I greatly appreciate voice over. The other thing to consider is we get to know you as a woodworker/filmer, etc. and I do appreciate it. Woodworking for me is very meaningful and I genuinely owe all the skills I’ve have today for woodworkers like you sharing your wealth of knowledge and in a world where there’s too much tech, too much seclusion, and not enough creation by our hands I can’t imagine not having my favorite thing to watch and that is other creators creating. I prefer spending my entire Sat or Sunday watching this content over anything else in between my own projects. Building, joinery and overcoming frustrating glue ups is my escape. Tomorrow I’ll be starting on my homeless cat house build lol, the design was found on the evil app called Pinterest. Never thought I’d build for homeless kitties but my neighborhood has been slammed with sweet kittens and they’re breaking into my backyard… I might be making it worse, no I don’t feed or water them but my supposedly vicious dog found a mother and her kitten last weekend hiding in my garden beds without a place to hide safely so I’m using as much scrap with all the nice insulation, waterproofing, roofing, adorable cat door, etc. and will attach to my fence higher up because we have loose, not so friendly pits roaming my neighborhood. Anyways that’s my opinion on voice overs and overly sharing my own priorities lol
