Hey! I’m Damian Keyes and I've worked with musicians every day of my life for the past 20 years. The internet is de ply untrusting understandably and here is my background so you can have the full picture.
When I was 18, I was signed to a major label and at 23 I co-founded a Music University in Europe called BIMM (valued at $300M). I’m also a bass player, I’ve played for a number of artists including Eric Clapton, Alanis Morrisette and Billy Cobham. I initially retired at 30, but realised that life gets boring if you’re not building!
I have always been in-between the music industry and education which is how I ended up building my KZbin channel - I’ve been teaching artists how to release music long before it was a ‘niche’! I now educate artists around the world with my Academy, KZbin channel and Social Agency.

The message at the end has touched me. Lately i have been making or kinds of music and one side of my brain has been telling me to focus on one thing (Jack of all trades, master of none syndrome). I'm happy and Sad at the time, but now that I look at it from a different perspective, i see how i have improved musically. I think many musicians and artists feel that way too sometimes and it feels good to know whatever you do musically can have the potential to make you a better artist. Thank you.

Inspiring stuff as always. Every time you drop a new video I feel all fired up, haha. Watching your videos drastically changed my perspective on promotion, (music) marketing, and social media. Where I used to look at the latter as a purely informative outlet (posting about gigs, recordings etc), and somewhat of a nuisance I didn’t really bother about too much, I started to see it as an extension of my creativity. And though I don’t yet have the output frequency that I’d like - doing insta for two new bands that haven’t really released anything yet, and still have to play their first gigs - I do enjoy thinking about the narrative that we like to tell as a group of people. The idea of being a storyteller really drops the threshold for me to put time and effort into promotion and social media.
