I have no idea if you have tried this or ever will, but in MM there is something fun you can do with the Bremen Mask at the Doggy Racetrack. I call it "Puppy Parade", and you walk around holding the B button playing the Bremen Mask song while passing the dogs around the track. They will stack behind you infinitely, begin walking in sync, and bark cutely on tempo to the march. It works on any dog apparently and is the most adorable thing in the world (it is truly worth seeing). I also wonder if the mask might work on other animals or enemies?

The diety mask glitch in sakon's hideout isn't fake. You need to put on a transformation mask like the deku, Zora or Goron mask, become Kafei and then pause and swap the mask on that button

Try a non-transformation mask other than the bunny hood. At least in the gamecube version! Gotta put it on as link, then replace it with the fierce deity mask on the c button while controlling kafei

Of course Kafei has to actually be there, which he wont' be if you clip into the hideout early, so that's an important thing to note.

This works with the Giant Mask, too, but it'll softlock the game since that mask doesn't actually transform link, it's supposed to transport him to a special arena for Twinmold from the regular one. The code's weird with that one.

You are correct. I forget if you need Link to be wearing a normal mask or transformation mask, but swapping it while controlling Kafei will cause Link to transform into Fierce Deity. It also works for the Giants Mask, but causes a soft lock.

In Ikana Canyon, if you go into the music box house and heal Pamela’s father, the closet which he comes out of when he’s possessed by the gibdo is now open. If you go inside and wait until the day changes you’ll be locked inside the closet with the gidbo teddy bear! Kinda creepy and there’s no escape, unless you reset the game! Try it.

You can buy cheaper powder kegs from Medigoron at the Goron Village. He sells them for only 20 rupees! I tested this both before and after bringing spring to the village, and both times, they sold for 20 rupees. Admittedly, this testing was only done on the 3DS version, so I don’t know if it’s true for the N64 version.

In the N64 version Medigoron sells them for 100 Rupees. I think it was changed to 20 in the 3DS version in an attempt to give him a reason to be a secondary seller. The lower price but being a bit out of the way might have been meant to give players something to consider, but the bank being right by the Bomb Shop ruins that.

At 11:35 when you're doing your blast mask segment to try to get out of bounds, you can actually get out of bounds right there with the chicken. You throw the chicken on top of the fence climb on top of the fence, pick up the chicken, jump off the fence and fly towards the wall and you'll go right through it

The Fierce Diety mask thing in Sakon's hideout is real, it was just poorly worded. You have to go in during the Kefei side quest while wearing a mask, then while you're playing as Kefei, open your inventory and replace whatever mask you're wearing on the C buttons with the Fierce Diety mask. When you take back control of Link, he'll put it on and transform. It can't be done with any of the masks that transform you, it has to be a standard one. I forget if there's an extra step but I remember doing it as a kid. Edit:based on another comment I might be wrong and the mask *has* to be a transformation mask. Worth trying both ways. You can also do this with the Giants Mask but you'll just soft lock in place.

This. I didn't remember the steps - been a LONG time since my buddy showed me this, back when the game came out. But I remember you can leave with the mask still on and ride Epona, which looks hilarious; you can even use this glitch to ride Epona inside Clock Town, and the Fierce Deity IS tall enough to climb onto the roof of the Shooting Gallery.

I have a theory that I think you’ll find interesting and it involves Link Between Worlds and Echoes of Wisdom. Specifically the real reason Lorule started to crumble after their triforce was destroyed

And here’s where the Echoes of Wisdom spoilers come in. So I recommend looking at this after you beat the game Since it was revealed that an evil older than the universe itself was imprisoned within the world by the Golden Goddesses, and it’s implied that the Triforce could be the very thing that keeps Null’s prison intact along with the Tri fairies repairing the rifts created by Null. Without the Triforce in Lorule, Null was able to slowly consume Lorule bit by bit with only the Tri fairies keeping Null from destroying Lorule faster.

Regarding the Poe Sisters being very persistent in becoming invisible, it is possible to kill them before they even try to do so. Using the hookshot multiple times or just once. And always without aiming you will weaken them. And they will run to the wall but you with some agility can chase them and hit a Power Crouch Stab from Biggoron Sword for example and knock them down without even having a chance to become invisible. - Meg also loses her copies if you perform a quick spin attack on her. And she will be unprotected against your projectile for a few moments - In MM, Tatl said that Meg is the eldest of the Poe Sisters. Which may be related in OOT to her previously playful mood swings, becoming sad and lonely after losing her younger sisters in combat - The Poes in the Kakariko cemetery appear in pairs at most, until you defeat at least one of them and have their soul exorcised so they can reappear. The blue rupees under their graves follow the same logic of appearing at most 2 times until the ghosts leave the screen. Thus facilitating the Dampé's minigame with a money bag full of "reserve" blue rupees under the graves - Hunting Big Poes is not that difficult. You can scare them away to the open field and away from the walls where they usually disappear, if you lead them with Epona and use carrots correctly. Also, hunting BigPoes is similar to fishing: they have an exact point (or more, each one) to appear. And generally if you stay positioned on top of that point waiting for them, you will be able to have a slight advantage (especially if you use the previous tactic, which makes their target bigger and at a right angle)

oh, i believe it's possible to turn a butterfly into a fairy using a Deku Stick. don't SWING the stick, just walk carefully, so that the end of the stick touches the butterfly.

The mask needs to be a regular non transformation mask when you enter the hideout when you become Kafei pause the game replace the mask you are wearing with the Fierce Deity and when you control link again you automatically puts on the mask I have watched the KZbinr Swordless Link do the trick himself it's the last video where he shows off glitches after beating Majora's Mask

About the fight against Ganon in OOT, you can block his attack with your Hylian Shield. And then counterattack with a Jump Slash, confusing him long enough for some side jumps and a jump attack on his tail~ - If you have a bit of precision or luck, you can attack him from the front even without blocking. It works even better with long swords - Another ability of the shields is to be able to climb the Death Mountain Trail while defending against the molten rocks. I mean defending while walking! It is even possible with the Deku Shield! - Another way to climb the trail without taking damage is to position yourself so that you walk backwards. This way, visit the Leader of the Great Fairies with some dignity! - When Volvagia prepares her claw attack, the shield can also block this, causing a sound effect of scratching metal, very different from the usual😮 - In beta versions of the game, it was possible to defend against the Moblins' attack in SFM. Now, at most, you can hear the sound of the spear touching your shield, which is a remnant of the past😢

You gotta be wearing the bunny hood as link and then when you’re kafei pause and equip the FDM over the bunny hood and complete his little part and when it switches back to link he will transform and you are oni link. You can finish the hideout area and leave and jump down into the water and end up in the swamp where you can get to the field and anywhere that doesn’t require epona or the hook shot but you can’t leave clock town once you go in and can’t speak to anyone

Hey Doc! TRY THIS funny Glitch with the dog in Clock town when you start from Day 1, you can see Kafai going to mailbox during the first hour and you can get the Dog to attack him while the dog is trying to attack you if you are Deku Link and he'll Fall over while Walking (Slow down time suggested)

About using Fierce Deity's Mask, you need to equip any mask as Link, such as Bunny Hood. Then, when playing with Kafei, you open the menu and change the Bunny Hood to the FD Mask on the same C button. When you get control of Link again, he wil use the FD Mask. It also work with Giant's Mask, however it freezes the game.

The Gorman mask isn't the only one that'll keep them from attacking, if memory serves. I'm pretty sure the Garo mask will also prevent attacks. It makes sense, it's the mask they're wearing, so it probably confuses them.

Fake or Real?: Have you ever steped on the "carnivore water lily plant" in the woodfall temple as a Goron? Can you check out if the moon crashing cutscene is different if the time runs out while you are in the Fierce Deity form, such as if you are in one of the boss rooms where you are able to transform into him? I know the cutscene is different if you are Deku, so I am wondering if the same is the case if you are in other transformation forms such as Goron, Zora, or even Fierce Deity

Fierce Deity Link appears the moon crash cutscene if it happens while wearing the Fierce Deity Mask. The voice clips used are among those belonging to Fierce Deity Link, as well.

Gibdo/Redead aren't sound related, they share Link's speed value

It may even be true in part. But in OOT they react even if you are standing still but make the sound of taking out an equipment or weapon. And in some previous video he or someone showed that in MM putting on and taking off masks like bunny hood also trigger the Gibdo's interest. In OOT there are also other monsters that react like this and not only to your footsteps

A lot of people react to Link's other forms differently. One is found interesting is the lady in the treasure chest mini game shop. Depending on which form you talk to her in, you can pay more or less to play. If I remember correctly, the Zora mask is only 5 Rupees to play.

I remember one I did regularly as a kid, where if you put up Zora links electric shield (on land while crouching), then release the shield, BUT as soon as you do, take off the mask as quickly as possible (basically button mash it), it will leave a blue fog in the area. The faster you take it off, the stronger the fog.

@@drwily yeah found the trick on an old zelda site back in 2003 that had pages full of beta content and glitches. Doubt it even exists anymore, so lost to time. Tried the trick again today just to be sure it still worked correctly (works while z-target standing with shield too I guess). Fog stays until you use the electric shield again or leave the area.

So i am pretty sure at least one of these is common knowledge but I have two myths for ya. the first one:If you wear the gibdo mask and speak to Pamela after saving her father, she will get upset with you and kick you out. I THINK if you talk to her again after going back in as long as you aren't wearing the mask she acts like nothing happens.(it's either that or she basically scolds you for it and asks you not to do it again. if it is the latter, she will kick you out again if you wear the mask but the same cycle just repeats itself) The second is while it's well known that wearing certain masks makes the redeads in Ikana castle and the one section of stone tower ascent dance, it will NOT have an affect on Gibdo's that you turn into Redead's by hitting them with fire.

If you shoot a light arrow at the blue bubbles, they drop 50 rupees every time. they also respawn on their own without needing to change areas, making it easy and fast money. If you get cursed by one, the song of storms removes the jinx where you can't draw your sword. if you use the bremen mask in the king of ikana fight, the two soldiers will march after a few seconds.

It does. In fact it's easier to learn about there since you can hit an entire room's worth of gibdos with Din's Fire in the Shadow Temple. Being on the receiving end of a swarm of angry,burning, zombies is great and not at all nightmare fuel. If you mean moving slowly then also yes. I think you can even wear the iron boots as an adult to slow yourself down and that also works even though you'd think they'd be too loud.

About burning Gibdos in OOT, it is possible but much more dangerous. Fire Arrows will not work 100% of the time in OOT. And Din's Fire will only cause mortal damage to enemies very close to a small area of the attack. And it will cause "medium damage" even to Gibdos on fire. And that is enough to draw his angry attention. Safer methods from afar include sun's song or hookshot. Or even using Biggoron with Charged Spin Attack. Another detail is that in OOT Gibdos are not Redeads under the bandages. The monsters behave in slightly different ways and do not share this characteristic of MM 😢

So, you've covered all of the bigger enemies in Ocarina of Time, but there is a quirk about the stalchildren in particular... There is no size cap on the stalchildren, every 10 you kill, a bigger one spawns, and for each 10, it gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger. I know that Nintendo never bothered because the night doesn't last long enough to see them get too big, but if you cheat the game into permanent night, I've seen a stalchild as big as Skull Keeta in Majora's Mask

Still didnt want to prove you can use the hookshot to get in Ikana Canyon from the west side without the ice arrows? Yeah, normally you freeze the octoroks into blocks and use the east side hookshot point to get up. But you can get up from the west side which is normally out of the hookshot range. Also you didn't use levitate to prove you can get into Ikana Canyon from the potion shop waterfall. Or prove killing the thief bird gives 200 rupees. I beat twinmold before beating the other dungeons i still dont have the ice arows either. Or prove you can escape clock town as a deku during the first 3 day cycle from east clock town gate?

​@@drwily When you do the hookshot into the canyon, it will require pixel perfect precision, with a teeny bit of the tree latching point visible. Don't use the bunny hood, you'll need to get super close to the edge, practically falling in to the water but don't fall into the water, resetting is a pain you basically are trying to almost start a "coyote time" situation. One of Link's foot shadows will actually be off the land. You may need to use single sword strikes to jiggle yourself closer. You'll want to be able to see the red dot from hookshot on the ledge just below the grapple point, then ever so slightly tap the stick up so the dot disappears. This is where the magic happens, because the hookshot in MM similiar to the hookshot/longshot in OOT actually has a range slightly beyond the red dot marker when aiming. Though the MM range is way smaller than OOT. I assure you it can be done even on the Switch version. It is highly difficult to pull off though. You'll probably want to do it 2 - 3 times. Once you get the feel for it you'll be able to pull it off faster. That said Ice arrows do make the task way easier. Hopefully it helps speed runners. Let me know if you need help like a picture of where to stand. P.S kill the octoroks beforehand their bullets are a pain. How did I discover it? I had a busted controller back in N64 days, I had to use Bunny Hood just to run, pushing my stick forward barely registered a trot, I had no Ice Arrows or magic but really wanted to get up there so naturally I used hookshot and the knowledge the range is farther than the red dot allows.

Equid your boomerang ready, kill the spider and just about when you grab it with the boomerang leave, and go back in the spider will still be there and it will count for ur Golden Tockets.
