Regarding your comment about the animals eating of the ground. There's a channel called "Ima Survivor Sanctuary", they initially fed the animals out of bowls until alot got sick. The vet mentioned that they should stop feeding the animals out of bowls because they were spreading "diseases" (if one has the flu it spreads it from bowl to bowl). So now they feed everyone in little piles allover the pastures.

Haters gonna hate. You're an amazing Dad! You should give seminars. Even though you don't have it all figured out, nobody does, you're miles above a lot that I know. You win or you learn, it's the learning part we have to accept. Some just don't get it. Every kid should have the opportunity to experience life on a farm. There would be a lot less problems in this country. Rock On!

If people would listen to Chad talking to Adler and Adler repeating everything. Chad you are an amazing Dad. It doesn't matter how you got Case and Adler. It nobody's business. Both those boys have all your love and knowledge learning all about farming and I personally know after having a jerk of a husband who was NOT a good dad to our son. Cas and Adler are so lucky.

I'm so glad I found your channel. I grew up in the country but have never had a farm or raised farm animals, so I'm learning a lot. Love your boys. You are such a good Dad :) You mentioned wanting donkeys. You might really enjoy watching You Tube videos from Ima Survivor Donkey and Animal Sanctuary. The Morrow family have several donkeys, some have the zebra stripes on their legs. Watching Ima Survivor, I'm come to know each of their donkeys & other animals & all the different personalities they have. Lester & Jami are great folks. Hope you have time to check them out. Not trying to advertise another channel, but I think it may be informative & at the same time have a few chuckles :) Thank you for sharing your farm life with us :)

I got my ayam cemani chicks this spring. They was 3 or 4 weeks old when I got them. 4 hens and 4 roos. They are WILD and try to be tough. When free ranging they was always trying to start beef with the other chickens but was all talk and I never seen them win a dispute. This fall we hatched a couple hundred chicks(winter ferret food) and kept a few dozen. Even as chicks I found they want to fight and pick at the other chicks. It doesn't end well for them. Next spring I will brood them separate from other chicks to increase survival rate.

2 of our children have bite marks from a donkey 50 years ago. Had him since he was first born, but had to get rid of him when he pinned our son on the ground and was ready to stomp him. Male goats smell! Breeding times even more! We only ever had one farm animal we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat. It was our pig “Parsley”. She and our dog would walk the kids to the school bus and in the afternoon would be waiting for them to get off. She would lay on the porch of our bank farmhouse in front of the door, and we would have to go out an upstairs door. Talking to yourself is normal. Be careful you don’t argue out loud with yourself where others can hear.
