Jenna's entire family is toxic. Her stepdad and stepsister are thieves. Whom Jenna should have pressed full charges against. And her mom condones their horrible behavior. Mad because Jenna did the right by calling the police. Telling her to put up with her husband and daughter because "they're family". What a load of crap! Family doesn't treat family like this.

Later on: The mother called the MC again this time she is more humble and apologetic and wanted to make amends with her but MC stood her ground and told her that she does not need a mother who betrays her daughter. The mother tried to play the family card but MC is not buying it and slaps her in the face very hard. It was revealed that the mother was kicked out by her husband and stepdaughter and instead of being nice and showing remorse, she was still playing her family card and as a result she ended up being more and more estranged from her own daughter and now is living on the streets regretting it and crying.

I’m surprised the mother’s significant other and daughter weren’t arrested. It was a clear case of breaking and entering because it was not the man and his daughter’s house 🏠. Then to add insult to injury, they changed the locks 🔒 blocking OP out of her own house. The minute the daughter started insulting my home and disrespecting me, she would have been KICKED out of my home! I wouldn’t care what my mother or her significant other felt! Shame on the mother for putting her own daughter in an awkward position!!! It’s bad enough that she invited the dad and daughter without her daughter’s permission, but to have the audacity to ask her to let that rude and disrespectful girl to stay at her house! If that wasn’t bad enough, she had the nerve to show anger towards her own daughter for doing the right thing and calling the police 👮‍♀️. I would say: Good riddance to rubbish!!!!

The mother is like a victim of Stockholm Syndrome, do to prior trauma with the police she was an easy victim of her husband and his daughter. Essentially two predators, support your mom from a distance preferably with the help of family and get her away from these people. Hopefully with time and a lot of therapy you can bring her back, right now she is bad for you because she has taken sides against you.

The way this story is written is way too descriptive and over the top…half of the dialogue is pointless descriptive statements that make it sound corny and like they’re testing too hard…
