I appreciate the respect you show releasing these fish. Too many times I see anglers just chuck it back into the stream with disregard. Your videos capture the essence of fly fishing with great action. Well done.

I live these adventures through you. I love small stream fly fishing; always been my favorite, even over Saltwater. But I’m pretty limited to roadside streams now at 66 and obese with a few health problems. My main goal now is to lose about 80 pounds so I can still enjoy those times. Until then, keep posting, it’s almost like I’m there.

I have a similar truck setup, a 2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4WD with a shell. I need to get a mattress for it though, I presently use a camping pad and sleeping bag, kind of hard. I think you have a video showing your setup, need to check it out again.

Great video. Have you ever fished, or considered fishing the Deshcutes? You will never find harder fighting trout. A 16 inch trout will get you into the backing sometimes. You can easily fight a fish for 6-8 minutes if you have a 4 or 5 wt rod.

Absolutely and hope to one day!

@@LooknFishy Awesome. I’ll be there with my brother this summer. I’m out in Kenya now. You should see the browns and rainbows that thrive in the streams and lakes of Mt Kenya. Amazing trout fishing here, and Kenya produces 50% of the world’s flies.

Do you find a lot of ticks wet wading out west? If I did that here in PA I’d be toast! Got bit by a bad bug my first week in PA. Lyme thankfully is treatable so I was fine after some hardcore antibiotics. Now I never leave home without waders!
@LooknFishy Жыл бұрын
I've found 3 on me in 3 years...the 3rd was last week in the driftless. I usually cover myself in off...keep my shirt tucked in and make sure to reapply to any area where they could get in...waist band, wrist area, etc. Ticks are definitely my biggest worry when wet wading so it's a trade off for comfort and mobility.
